Will was great. He bid a fair price without compromising quality. He worked with us on a couple of minor issues (defective tile from the manufacturer and defective sky-light). <b>WRS was recommended to us from many of our neighbors in Ken Caryl Valley. WRS completed a number of replacement roofs due to warranty issues and defective shingles. Our new roof with defective shingles was installed in 2004 by another contractor and was replaced by WRS in 2010. The work was excellent. We had a massive hail storm in August of 2013 and our insurance company declared a total loss. WRS was the first roofing contractor that I called to inspect the roof. The owner of this company is a solid businessman and is well respected. WRS performed beyond our expectations and was able to complete our roof ahead of schedule. He is very reasonable and his approach is very low key. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone or use him again. Many of our neighbors are using him to replace their roofs after the hail storm. When you have a good contractor such as WRS, you stay with them.</b>

This is a mixed review.  They had a large crew working on my house, and they were all very coniderate and professional. As my review indicates, I am completely happy with the quality of the work and the timeliness with which it was accomplished.  We even had a small snow event on the night of the first day, and the crew had the house buttoned up enough so there were no leaks or issues. <br /> Here is where WRS roofing fell down. <br /> 1.  It took two phone calls to get a guy out to give me an estimate.  I wouldn't have given them a second chance, but they were a local company, had good reviews on Angie's list, and I was having trouble getting any roofing company to follow through.  On my second call, the guy apologized for letting me fall through the cracks, and came out that evening and gave me a fair bid. <br /> 2.   I accepted their bid and we wrote a contract for an upgraded class 4 impact shingle.  They also noticed on my insurance settlment that the adjuster had missed a couple of things, and they would submit for the extra costs.  Who do you think should get to keep the extra from the insurance company?  Keeping in mind that their original bid included the code required item the adjuster forgot?  I certainly felt like that was mine to keep,  WRS seemed to think it was theirs.   I think in the end we settled on an amount that was fair to both of us, but it was unneeded stress in the whole process.  <br /> 3.  I was clear that I wanted to be home when the work was done,  I have dogs, and I worry about them getting out.  We had settled on a couple of dates and I took those days off from work.   I got home from work a couple of nights before they were scheduled to start, and I had a voicemail that they wanted to start the next day.   I just used last call redial on my phone, and got their voicemail.  I made arrangements and said that would be fine.  I never heard back, so I was left guessing.  Next morning I tried calling again, voicemail.   I tried the estimators cell phone.  Voicemail.   About 9:30 in the morning I realized they weren't coming.   Turns out they had sent me an email at 8:30 p.m. the night before saying nevermind, let's stick to the original schedule. In the email it said they thought it might be too late to call.  Seriously?  Pick up the phone!!! <br /> So bottom line,  their communication is about as good as any other contractor I have worked with.  In other words, pathetic.  Now that it is over,  really the most important thing is having a nice roof that I am happy with at a price that was fair.   <br /> <br />

I called WRS on a Wednesday afternoon and got a return call on Thursday morning to set up an inspection and estimate for that Saturday at 9:00 am.  At 8:57 am, Rob pulled up and began the inspection and prepared an estimate after a brief discussion of what I had in mind.  He went over every step in the roofing process, the materials they use in their standard roof rebuilds, and all the options I had available.  There was no pressure to sign a contract that morning as I wanted to explore the material options. <br /> During the next week, I used the internet to research product options, manufacturer's installations recommendations, and city code requirements.  I found Rob's explanations as to the roof project to be complete and accurate.  I sent Rob a list of product-related questions by e-mail one evening and by the next morning I had them answered.  His responsiveness was excellent and there was never any pressure tactics to do the deal.  I choose WRS for this project even though they were not the low bid as they were going to do several little things (i.e. using prepainted drip edge and rake trim) that two other roofer were not doing and I thought those small details and other items would give me a better end result.  On Sunday evening, I sent Rob my "punch list" of all the items I expected to be done (a rehashing of items contained in the original estimate as I understood them), my product choices, a project completion deadline, and a counter offer on the price that was in line with another local roofing contractor.  They responded within 24-hours that we had a deal. <br /> I was anticipating the project would be done in a couple of weeks but Rob called the day after our deal was made and stated they  would like to do the project in a couple of days (Thursday & Friday) as they had an opening if it was acceptable with me.  I agreed and at 7:30 am Thursday Will, the owner of WRS, showed up and directed the roofing supplier where to unload the materials.  He made sure all items were cleared out of the way for the roofing crew and all materials were on hand.  His roofing crew arrived at 8:00 and covered up a deck and shurbery with tarps and began the tearing off of the old roof.  Will was present and directing his crew during the tear-off of the old roof, the plumbing vent pipe repair, the initial roof installation, and the mid-roof inspection by the city.  After that he left his crew foreman in charge as he coordinated another job.  Will was back a couple of times during the afternoon to check on progress and deal with any other problems.  The crew foreman (20-plus years roofing experience and 10-plus years witth WRS) keep the 5-man crew and the job moving forward even in extreme heat - local temperature was 95 degrees on the ground.  Shortly before 7:00 pm, the roof was done and the clean-up and wrap-up began.  By 7:30 pm, the cleanup was done and the roofing crew was headed home.  Clean up was better than I anticipated - only a handful of roofing pieces found on the ground during the next couple of days.  The roof looked great and I was well pleased with the work done with the roof flashing, the new vents, drip edge, etc. And having all metal surfaces painted to match the roof was a nice finishing touch. <br /> The next morning Will showed up again, inspected the completed roof and the clean-up work done by roofing crew after he had left the previous day, and got the gutter crew started on their project.  The gutter crew chief, Will and I discussed how best to address a gutter overflow problem I had with the old gutters.  After that discussion, Will left while the 3-man gutter crew did their work.  A couple of the gutter runs were over 40 feet long which made it a challenge getting the right degree of slope in the gutter so water would drain without making the gutter appear to fall away from the roof.  They succeeded in that task.  After about four hours of work installing the gutter and downspouts, the gutters were finished.  Will came by to inspect the gutter work and to call for the final inspection by the city.  The city inspection found no problems with the roof or gutter installation. <br />   <br /> Later that afternoon, we got a brief thunderstorm of about a tenth of an inch of rain and I was pleased to see that rain flowed from all gutters and that the gutters drained completely.  I fully expect the roof will perform as equally well when heavier rains and snows come. <br /> Overall, I rate the quality of work done by WRS and their work crews as excellent.  I found both Rob, my salesperson, and Will, the owner, very responsive to my inquiries and needs.  Their work was done in a timely fashion with causing me any hassle or aggreviation of constantly following up on items.  <strong>That is why I rated my experience with WRS Roofing as excellent.</strong>  I have had neighbors comment positively on the roof/gutters.  <strong>I would highly recommend WRS Roofing.</strong> <br /> Roger Ferguson <br />

Company was very timely. They started and finished the job as stated. They removed the old roof and replaced it with a new roof. They were very professional and did a great job in cleaning up the yard.

From picking out the siding choices colors to the roof everything went seamlessly.

Very happy with WRS Roofing.  We needed to coordinate with our general contractor and also our insurance company and WRS was helpful throughout the process.  Work was completed quickly, coordinated well with the other contractors on site and WRS workers were courteous and punctual.   The owner Will listened to what we were trying to accomplish with our house colors and provided good suggestions - very patient during the selection process.  Will also stayed involved during the actual work so he was always available for any questions.  Also dropped by all sorts of shingle and metal flashing samples so we knew what we were getting.  All exposed vents etc painted to match the new roof shingles.  Weather station and lighting system all removed and reinstalled after roof installed.  Original bid and final invoice were very detailed so we knew exactly what each step cost.

Where other contractors were convinced that I needed a whole new roof, WRS said that some simple repair/maintenance would do the trick.  The fact that they were honest enough to say that I didn't need a whole new roof sold me on them.  They were professional, punctual, and did a great job at very little cost.  I will definitely contact them when it IS time for a new roof!

The job was completed in 2 weeks.  The workmen were very courteous and careful.  They removed and restored sections of the roof at a time .  They were very careful and cleaned up after themselves.  They were very neat and clean.  We felt confident that they knew what they were doing.  The roof looks fantastic.
