TERRIBLE CONTRACTOR • Increased estimate for project between 1st and 2nd estimates with no explanation, nothing changed • Front end loads contract, 40% for signing contract (will not schedule work until contract is signed) and 40% more due after demolition = 80% of contract must be paid at about 20% completion • Unable to commit to schedule and once commits to start, delayed start for a month • Once construction starts still will not give an overall schedule and date of completion • Once he started project and completed a portion of the work, he pulled crew off of job and finally substituted the rest of the work with different workers • Project Manager assigned to job rarely visits job site and leaves all work and coordination to the workers without direction • Project Manager admits to not reading the contract • Unable to install toilet properly after trying with two new toilets • Quality of work is not very good In summary, this contractor overcommits and then does not meet any of his commitments on time, but DEMANDS you pay him for most of the work, way before he completes it. He continually complains and says he can’t tell you a schedule because he has too much work and has supply problems. That is typical of all TERRIBLE contractors, they over commit and then don’t deliver on time but expect payment as soon as they can get their hands on the money, despite what they agree to. This type of contractor lends credence to the poor reputation of the whole contracting industry

XLT Home Pro did our Master Bathroom remodel. The project was a full gutting, moving walls, plumbing, and new electrical. The workmanship was excellent and the crew was extremely professional. And clean! They cleaned up every night before leaving. The project was done timely and completed right on schedule. We love our beautiful new MBR and wil be using XLT Home Pro for our net project. We highly recommend David and his crew!

I had a project for making custom cabinet for my front entrance area. I had the design concept in mind and David was very easy to work with to make it happen. From The quote and samples to installation went very smoothly. I am planning to use them now for a bathroom project.

I called David about a small job to replace a bathroom cabinet door. He couldn't have been more responsive. He came out the same day, measured the door and ordered it. As promised, 2 weeks later the door arrived and he came and installed it exactly when he said he would. Very professional. I highly recommend XLT and I will call them again for my next job.

Just want to say how happy I am with the installment of our new shower. It was done on 5/22/19 by David and they did a great job on it. They came when they said they would and cleaned up everything before they left, along with taking all of the old stuff. They did a fantastic job. Very happy with me new shower.

We decided to completely renovate our kitchen and had the privilege of having it designed by one of the best Interior Designers in IL. Because our cabinets and tiles are very high end, we needed to hire a construction company that received good reviews in cabinet and tile installation and was located in our community. XLT Home Pro received excellent reviews. There were many customers who were satisfied with the company's expertise in remodeling kitchens. We were impressed that the owners truly valued their customer's feedback, which is a sign of a company that genuinely cares about customer satisfaction. David met with our Interior Designer before the installation. Our designer knew immediately that David was an expert in cabinet installations just from going over the plans with him. David also cleaned up after he completed the work, which we admired very much. We recommend XLT Home Pro to anyone who needs a professional installation of kitchen cabinets and tiles. They also offer fair pricing.

XLT Home Pro remodeled our master bathroom. David was very helpful and in communication throughout the whole project. We couldn't be happier with the result. We started with estimates from different companies with their own studio and design team, however were able to complete our project for $12,000 less by using XLT Home Pro. The result is beautiful and we ultimately had more control over the design. David even noticed that a step on our brick front porch needed to be re-leveled. We came home one day to find out that he, personally, had done it. Great service!

During the great freeze of '19 we got some water damage in our town home. Laminate floors destroyed and some minor wall damage but we took the opportunity to not only replace the floors but upgrade them across the whole first level and replace our aging cabinetry and powder room. We received several quotes and XLT Home Pro / Cabinet Tree Studios was in the median range price wise (one popular and highly rated design/build contractor was actually 3x their price and schedule duration!) and seemed to be enthusiastic about the job so we called them back and tweaked a couple requests. Within a week we had an amended quote and we signed. About two weeks later we had cabinet delivery and due to one of their other projects being slightly delayed they were able to push our project forward and started demo about a week after that. Week 1: Demo lasted about two days and they did their best to maintain order and keep the mess out of the rest of the home. They also took great care to save our granite counter tops to be reused. New can lights were installed with dimmer and the fridge water was line re-routed through a soffit. Over the next few days they laid wood look ceramic tile over the entirety of the on slab floor and installed the cabinets. Week 2: New tile backsplash installed and appliances quickly reinstalled to get our kitchen in semi working order for the duration of the project. Walls were patched and primed and new trim and casings installed in several locations with the bulk of the painting being completed. Week 3: Two or three days of final paint and punch list. Their crew was top notch. Everyone was friendly, polite and any small issue that arose was quickly corrected to our satisfaction. We added a few extra things in that were missed on our part and they were fair on the price. In a couple years we're planning a master bath remodel and I would without hesitation hire them again.

We have a 100 year old house that needed a total gut and remodel of our master bathroom. Dave was the only contractor that offered a solution to make room for a double vanity. His tile guy Ben is a master craftsman, we had 4 different kinds of tile and grout and the work was top quality. We could not be more pleased with our new bathroom.
