Absolutely fabulous and quick response. Was in the process of buying a home and our inspector noted concerns with the foundation. Two engineers came to the house and confirmed that there was significant foundation issues and gave us an estimate to repair based on their knowledge of local contractors. Their explanations were thorough but not over our heads. Their evaluation allowed us to walk away from a potential money pit.

Scott was quick and effective to figure out what was needed and came up with a design plan in a timely manner.

I was told that I may have a hard time finding an engineer that could come out in less than three weeks, and I needed one right away for a refinance. I called Level and Scott was scheduled to come just a couple days later. He was on time (actually early), he was very knowledgeable, he explained everything, he gave recommendations for what needed to be done and what would not be necessary to worry about right away. He was understanding about our time constraint and did a great job.

Level responded initially within an hour. Now when I have questions or I'm trying to verify pictures I send are received the resonse from Level is slow.

We had a great experience with Level Engineering. Scott was very easy to work with and responsive to our revisions. We were taking down the wall between the kitchen and living room and needed an engineer to create plans to support the structural load. It took us a while to find a contractor to do the job and when we did he recommended a specific support beam. Scott was great about accommodating our General Contractor's request and drawing up the plans accordingly. The county was very unorganized and kept coming back to us with specific details they wanted on the plans. Scott was great about making these changes and emailing them quickly so the job could move forward. We would definitely work with Level Engineering again and highly recommend them.

They can do the inspection needed, but they do not do any work for repair on small jobs.

I hired this company to get a structural report for a house I was trying to purchase. The report was incomplete and did not address the needed repairs to the property to make it structurally sound. I lost the deal on the house because the engineer sent his incomplete report to the listing agent and then went out of town the same day and was unable to revise it.

Very thorough and honest. Assessed the damages to my home and offered me a variety of options. Recommended the one he thought would suit our needs best.

Scott Z. came to my home to give recommendations on removing a load bearing wall. I paid him $250 for his time, visiting and as payment toward future work. He told me that for another $100 he'd give me a design for permitting. All that was required of me was to send him measurements and a drawing. It took me a few months to get to it. Once I did, he informed me that he completely forgot about my project and hadn't saved any of his measurements and had no photos of my house. Those were for me to provide, again. And he raised his price to $150 despite what we discussed. Nevertheless, I did what he asked. When I did send him the info, he ignored my emails. I never heard from him again even when I asked if he got the emails or if he was still interested. Thank goodness he flaked because I have found a much better engineer who has done a thorough assessment of my home's unusual make-up. The new engineer did not require me to send drawings or photos. If Scott had tried to calculate a beam or posts based on what little I could provide, it would have been wrong because he didn't have all the info an engineer needs. Either he never collected it or he lost it. And he sure wasn't going to come back to redo his assessment even though that would have been the right thing to do. My $250 was wasted on his advisory visit because nothing he told me was based on calculations or a thorough assessment. What he told me about the beam jutting up to a window was wrong and it wrongly influenced my decisions. What a relief to be free of him and not spend more good money toward bad. What a rip off!
