Honest Review of My Experience I hired Patrick Byer’s with Byer’s Handyman Services to install herringbone tile around my fireplace. Unfortunately, the work was not done correctly, and the quality fell well below expectations. As a result, the tile had to be removed by him and the materials I purchased were thrown away due to improper installation. After multiple attempts to resolve the issue, the handyman eventually agreed to reimburse me for the cost of the materials—but only after I made it clear I was prepared to pursue legal action through small claims court. I’m sharing this experience so that others are aware and can make informed decisions when hiring for similar work. This review is based entirely on my personal experience and the facts of what occurred. To note, I have used him multiple times over the past year and have never had a problem until this job. He needs to stick with installing light fixtures versus doing detailed work like herringbone tile. It is my opinion that he should have never accepted this job.

"You failed to mention I did not charge you for the days labor. You also failed to mention we initially agreed for me to not cover materials and I would not have you pay for that days work. You went back on your word and threatened court over $200. I do not have the time to deal with court over $200. You then told me you were going to ask for material reimbursement after I redid the job which is backhanded and sneaky when we had agreed otherwise. You have been a long time client and you have complained to me many times about the work of other contractors. You are tough to please. I was willing to replace the tile that was off pattern and you proceeded to nit pick the whole thing when I told you these “imperfections” would be covered by grout. I decided not to redo the job because I could not risk losing out on another days pay if the job was not up to your standards. I gave you your $200 back and didn’t charge you for labor yet you still continued to go through every channel to try and slander my business. Yes it’s slander when you are lying by omission and leaving out or twisting important details."

Patrick was incredible to work with from start to finish! He took his time and didn’t rush the initial call with me and helped me sort out my best options for my projects. His pricing was very competitive. He was on time, professional, and patient with all my questions and went the extra mile to get the job done right. I can’t say enough good things! Patrick was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He was punctual and his prices were very reasonable, he was efficient in his use of time (as he was charging by the hour) and I found that highly respectable. Extremely knowledgeable in home repair and handyman work. Would highly recommend.

We hired Patrick to do work on our neighborhood clubhouse. He was very punctual and personable. We hired him to run speaker wire/ install new speakers by the pergolas by the pool. Also installed a sun screen shade. Great attitude and work ethic! We will be using him for all future projects.
