Straight Shooter Plumbing and Rooter LLC

In early May, I contacted Straight Shooter Plumbing because a toilet and bathtub on my property were backing up with sewage. The technician recommended removing the toilet and using an auger to clear the line, which I approved. Shortly afterward, I discovered the technician had broken my shop toilet while performing the work. He contacted his supervisor, Dean, who later arrived and informed me that the property's plumbing was installed incorrectly and would cost about $5,000 to repair. I then asked about installing a septic system to bypass the lagoon. Dean estimated the project would cost around $16,000-$17,000 and even assured me it would not end up anywhere near $30,000-$40,000 when I specifically asked. Based on those representations, I paid a $3,500 deposit. Two weeks later, I received a proposal for more than $38,000, plus a 10% financing surcharge. When I requested a refund, I was told the estimate was only a "guesstimate" and deposits were nonrefundable.

I had both of my toilets backed up and reached out on Angis and Straight Shooter was the first to respond to my inquiry. They were able to send a technician out the same day and were able to fix my back up issue. I didn't realize my toilets were like 30 years old so they quoted me for replacements and when we decide to do that work we will call them again.

He was quick and efficient.

We just moved into our new home in Hayden Idaho late December 2025. We needed to find a plumber and reached out to Straight Shooter Plumbing. We wanted to have a whole home leak detection system installed as well as a water softener. We reached out to them. Valerie Johnson came to our home, explained their services, and reviewed with us recommended products. We hired them. We had Nick and Nick as our technicians and they came out within a few days and installed everything and went over all the mechanics of the systems. We plan on using Straight Shooter Plumbing as our go to plumbing company

Great service James liford came down today made sure that everything with my plumbing was running properly by replacing the toilet , shower valve, and PRV . Definitely recommend for any plumbing issues and problems.
