Ray gained hands-on experience and knowledge of the quality of wood and antique furniture in the antique store he owned for 25 years before opening A & A Fine Furniture Repair and Upholstery. What does it take to stay in the craft for so long? We have a passion for protecting and refurbishing fine furniture. In 1999, Ray opened his own furniture repair shop in Manassas Park, VA, where he offers professional furniture repair, antique restoration and rebuilding, woodwork, fine upholstery, wicker work, and restoration from moving, fire or water damage. Since opening, Ray has become a master of his craft with the experience and capabilities to complete any job, large or small. A & A Furniture Repair and Upholstery serves clients all over northern VA, MD and DC.

Ray and his team are the best! I knew I was in capable hands from our first meeting and Ray's understanding of what I wanted done with my out-of-date 4-piece wall unit! I was more than delighted with the finished product .. I couldn't believe the transformation! Ray is a true tradesman who takes pride in the quality of his work, and it shows! I will definitely use him again for my future refinishing projects.

My experience with A&A far exceeded my expectations. Ray, the owner, contacted me within minutes if my search on Home Advisor offering info about his business along with references and samples of his work. He came to my home two days later with before and after shots of his work which was very impressive. I had three Ethan Allen tables needing refinishing from a recent move, his quote was so reasonable that I added an antique table. The work was completed in a timely manner. I could not believe the difference in my tables when I saw them, they looked brand new, especially the antique one. I was so thrilled that I gave him two more pieces.

Ray promptly responded to my call and came by to give me an estimate. I did have to initiate follow-up to schedule the repair as twice he did not call me as he stated he would. Otherwise, he was very professional, priced the job fairly, and made sure that I was completely satisfied. He and his partner even moved my tall, king-sized headboard up to the second floor from the basement when the job was complete!

I had a leg replaced on a dining room chair and crack along the seat area repaired. I cannot even tell where the crack was. Very happy with the repair. Price very reasonable. Only negative--I had to call three times to have my chair delivered back.

The quality of work from Ray was impeccable. Ray made me feel comfortable from the start by the amount of knowledge he had and his ability to show me exactly what would be needed. He restored my shelves which were over 20 years old to new. He was also able to restore the legs to my table that were damaged by my sister's dog. The price to accomplish this amount of work was very reasonable. The only note is that it took him about a month, but given the end result it was well worth the wait.

took my chairs,on march 19th. Said he could do it and would rush to have back by Easter. Well I finally got them on May1. I called several times and was concerned as I had to describe my chairs. Finally when they came I was so happy I really didn't look or examine closely. They are all fixed. some places stain was missed. A few rough areas but they are here and fixed! I am not calling back,to redo just glad to have my chairs. If i used them again I would be very specific ,and would also examine carefully before paying. I've never had furniture repaired before so please keep this in mind. They came to the house, explained what they would do, provided photos of work, and gave an estimate before they carried my pieces away to their shop. They delivered their work on time and did a nice job on my two antique chairs. One had two bubbles in the finish on the seat which they offered and will fix.
