About us

Incorporated in 2000, "A Closer Look" is a locally owned multi inspector firm. Our goals are to provide quality inspection services and back it up with superb customer service. From day one we have been proud members of the Better Business Bureau. We are partnered with our local TV station Wavy TV 10 as their home inspection experts. We have inspectors certified in Virginia and also licensed in North Carolina. Our inspectors have extensive backgrounds in the construction industry. We belong to the top home inspection organizations (ASHI & NAHI). We provide on site electronic reports the day of the inspection. Our inspectors carry both E&O and General liability insurance. Both of the owners are retired military and have a special compassion for our military and the outstanding service they provide to this country. "God Bless America"

Bob was on time, he was very thorough with the inspection. As a result of his report, I'm able to renegotiate w/ the seller for the repairs to be done. It was the best investment in the entire home buying experience for me. I would highly recommend Bob w/ A Closer Look!

Picked on some items that weren't part of the house (fence). Addressed code violations that were grandfathered, I don't think either Item should have been addressed. Missed no windows would open.

"We do report conditions of fences as well as code issues especially if they fall in the safety category. Most people would want this information. Windows were old single hung builders grade and fogged. Condition reported"
