A & M Construction came out to repair a roof leak at my rental property in Scottsdale. I spoke to Don Milton, the owner. Upon arrival, they climbed into the attic and identified the leak source. They covered the affected of the roof with plastic. Don Milton wanted to 'nail' the plastic, thus causing more areas of leakage. I told them no and to weight down the plastic covering with rocks. Obviously, they did not really know what they were doing. This took 5 minutes and Don Milton charged $200.00, which is absolutely absurb. He was clearly taking advantage of the fact it was raining and the roof had to be covered to prevent further damage to the house. At most, he should have charged a service call fee. $60.00 would have been more reasonable. I contacted Don later in the week to get a bid to repair the 1 small hole. He quoted $750.00 !! I called another roofing company who came out and repaired the leak. It took them 10 minutes and costs a service call fee of $75.00. In all good conscience, I would NEVER recommend AM Construction and would advise that all home owners stay clear of them and Don Milton.

project was subcontracted and 20% extra was charged + tax. The subcontractor used an old style asphalt shingle which is very noticeable even from driving by on the street.
