Affordable Landscaping Design

Greg Holmes was extremely knowledgeable and helped guide me in the direction we needed to go to have a beautiful green lawn. He was professional, honest, and dependable. The price was very reasonable and I I would recommend him for all landscape projects.

This guy continuously either misled me or lied about his business and the scope of work He repeatedly tried to shortchanged the scope of work I resorted to refusing to pay him any more money until he provided the correct number of plants and properly planted them Ultimately he got the job done to my satisfaction but I absolutely would not recommend him to anyone else

The contractor who showed (Greg Holmes) appears to piggy back on the name of the person on the web site (Sue Johnson) His pick up has no identification & he gave me a generic receipt that you can pick up at any supply store. He wanted to be paid for the work ahead of actually doing it & in his words he needed the check made out to him and not affordable landscape and that way I did not have to pay sales tax. He finally showed at 11.45 on a Tuesday to remove the old grass and was finished by 4 p.m, He said he'd be back on Wednesday to lay the sod but never showed. I finally called him about noon & the excuse was that the rain had made it to muddy to work. He then showed on the Thursday to lay the sod and again said he's be back on Saturday to finish a small project in the rear garden. He never showed again & I did the work myself. I called him to say not to bother & he owed me for the money he charged for the back garden. He finally called on the following Monday & I emphasized that he could send me a check for the $50 & that several pieces of the sod were brown & apparently dead. He did replace the dead pieces but left them on the side walk in a muddy pile in an apparent defiant act of blankety blank you. He also paid me the $50 in cash and I assume he did not want a paper trail of ID via check to know where he lived or did business. After he initially laid the sod in the front garden I asked him for 10 pieces in case any died. He subsequently claimed that he had "given" me $70 worth of grass which to my mind was grass I had originally paid for. During the work I also asked about a warranty and he said one year. After I told him that several pieces had died & needed to be replaced this one year warranty turned out to be (in his words) a one time thing & he wouldn't keep on coming back. It has now been some 3 weeks since the grass was laid and it is growing & is green which is because of the rain we have had every day. The quality of the sod is apparently good but the un-businesslike & deceitful way of doing the work is why I give the customer service 1 star.
