I would like to give many stars. Felt like Jim was a great guy. Installed new furnace at the end of the heating season 2014. Cooling coil sits atop furnace. Did not support cooling coil, and was over hanging furnace unit. Drip pan rendered useless. When cooling system was turned on in the spring, water exited unit and went all OVER the floor. Much damage ensued. Jim arrived at night, commented, "That's not good," said he would be back the next day. Could not get a hold of him again. Never heard from him again. I truly believe that something happened to him. He just did not seem like the kind of guy to do this. I not only was left to deal with this (replacing floors, having pieces of drywall and moulding replaced,) but I felt sad and a little worried about him.

Jim was very knowledgeable and knew what he was doing. He told me what he was doing and broke it down so I could understand it and even came late at night to fix my heat. He also helped out with other problems around my house which I greatly appreciated. Him and his company are my go to from now on. THANKS!!!!

Jim arrived quickly, very nice and friendly, Work was quick, customer service was top-notch. I will call Jim back in the spring for a complete system checkout and cleaning.

Lost heat in the worst part of winter, temps in the teens and single digits. Called American Vet Heating and Cooling. Inside temps were 58 degrees. Jim arrived and discovered a loose wire on my plenum, system seem to throw out heat. He left and I set the thermostat back to normal. Next morning it was 58 degrees inside, after work I bought a new Honeywell Thermostat touch screen. I installed it Friday after work (in a hurry). Later that night the house was still cold, I called Jim back and told him, it was late and I suggested we wait until Saturday. I reprogrammed the stat and all it good!

I was having a leak with my AC unit causing the drip pan to fill. American Vet came the same day and fixed the problem very quickly. Jim was extremely professional and explained what he did and why. I am so impressed with American Vet that I am signing a service contract. I would strongly recommend American Vet Heating and Cooling!!!!

Do NOT look any further for the best installer that money can buy. Jim Crist at American Vet is first rate at everything he does. He is prompt, thorough, fair, always pleasant, and we ended up with a fantastic boiler, hot water heater and new thermostats that are EASY to understand. What a comfortable way to end your worries about your heating and cooling in your house. His wife Joy is a credit to his business, too! Informative, professional and always cheerful. What a team!

American Vet provided the lowest estimate and best warranty of several heat pump system installers. The work was done in an efficient and professional manner, and I'm very pleased with my new system.

I hardly know how to gush enough! After more than three years of having the company that installed my air conditioning unit come out and tell me nothing was wrong (and charge me a fortune for nothing), Jim walked in, diagnosed the problem, fixed it and charged a fair and reasonable price. I just don't even know how to say thanks. Hire him, he's great! Joy was also extremely helpful -- she called me about 3 minutes after I put my request in to HomeAdvisor! This company is a keeper.

Jim's wife called 10mins after I inquired online to make an appt. Jim came over @ 6pm the NEXT night! We had heat in just a few minutes. He came back on a Saturday to put in the new system. No one ese comes out @ night or on weekends!

Their price was a little higher, But Jim, The salesman, Foreman, & A/C Tech. was very personable, You just knew by talking to him, there would be no surprises or hidden costs. He took a lot of pride in his work

The only thing that I would like to mention is they said we were scheduled @ 9:00 am but didn't come until 11:30. Would have been nice to know this!

These guys are amazing! I placed a request to get my moms air conditioning up and running at her house in Hurlock and within minutes I was talking to Julie who was very friendly. The service was speedy! Within a few hours the job was complete and I talked to Jim who called me and told me everything that was wrong with the unit. He had fixed everything all for a very reasonable price! Most importantly these guys were willing to work with me on ways that I can paythem since I live in Baltimore. Now my mom is happy and chillin! Literally! All in all, if I need to have anything else done IM CALLING THESE GUYS! Great Job!

What a pleasent surprise! I am new to the area so finding someone that was not recommended was nerve racking! Must of been my lucky day;) Picked them on the name alone ,because my son is a Marine and wanted to support a Vet! Great job would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

The initial meeting with Jim, the owner, was incredible! I'm a recently divorced, single mom and I knew NOTHING about how to hire a contractor to do work for me. Jim made me feel comfortable about the decisions I was making. He was very thorough with measuring my house and making sure he was going to install the very best heat pump for me. I really appreciated him showing me his credentials and licenses. That made me trust him even more. I got about 5 more bids and American Vet was not the cheapest, but because he spent more than 5 minutes in my house, I chose his company. Thanks so much! My house is so cool and comfortable now.

They were able to come on Saturday which was a plus for me because I didn't need to take off from work. They arrived on time and had my problem fixed quickly. They were polite and efficient.
