The installer had a tough time due to slope of the roof but he did get it done which amazed me !!! Very pleasant , profesional . They were on the ball answered my request promply, proformed work as they scheduled , I think a great company !!

They where quick to respond, came out the next day and gave me a written quote and by Monday morning at 8:30am they started work. Took less time than they had quoted. Everything went as planned. The only thing they miss was the plumbers puddy at the end of a wire. The price was on the high side. But other than that American Electrical is a great company to use for electrical work. Thank You

"We want to satisfy our customers. However, anonymously submitted reviews make that impossible. We cannot review what was done or take corrective action without something to go on. Install & repair what? How much was charged? If this was a troubleshoot & repair call those prices are variable because the source of the problem has to be found before it can be corrected. It is not unusual to take a while to find a problem(s)that may have a quick fix once found."

The two individuals who showed up to do the job messed around for over an hour and then told me I had purchased a faulty unit. I then asked them if maybe it wasn't the switch causing the problem and one of them said," why didn't I think of that?" 15 minutes later they had the job done but charged me over $170.00 for a job that should have cost $785.00 at the most. When I received a letter from the company telling me to rate their service I said it was bad and requested that a manger call me. To date no manager has called and now it has been three weeks. NO,NO,NO I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM.

Outdoor Lighting Plan and Installation
Slow at returning e-mailed questions. Residential job's <$2k don't seem to be a priority. Landscape lighting was performed by another contractor.

They used terrible lights on our home. Part of one of the strands went out and instead of fixing the strand, they left it there and went over it with a smaller one! Some of the lights(on the same broken one), went over a week ago, I didn't even bother calling them again. Fuses blew out all through out the holidays and that was frustrating as well! You'd think a electrical company wouldn't overload plugs. Over priced for what we got! The men that came out to the house were friendly and nice though. I bet we were being charged labor while they chit chatted with my husband. Extremely disappointed over all and will find someone else next year!

Additionally, I think it is good practice to state your expectations because you are the customer we are trying to please. With no feed back details we cannot take the corrective actions necessary. We had quick response for the appointment but there was only one electircian and he made numerous trips back and forth to his vehicle. It should have been a relatively simple job but took much longer than anticipated and therefore cost twice as much as we expected due to his inefficiancies.

We regret that you were not 100% satisfied on this visit. However, it is important to note, in the trades, there are certain jobs where simple things can be difficult, on any given day. It could be anything, from a screw breaking & being stuck in the hole, to a defective part. As professionals, we work through all issues to satisfy the customers, often without discussing problems or difficulties. We honestly look to provide efficient service on all calls."

We perform this service expertly, increasing the size of the service, main panel & the number of circuits in that panel. Customers often have us run additional circuits to the areas of the home where they need them."

Technicians were outstanding and extremely effecient. They would have gotten five stars except thet didn't have covers for my outlets on their vehicle. They explained that they were new outlets and they didn't have the right covers. They informed me that they would bring them out the next day and still haven't recieved them.
