Archadeck of East Indianapolis
About us
The first Archadeck office was founded in 1980 in Richmond, Virginia. In 1985, the second office opened, starting the nation's only network specializing in custom-designed and built decks, screened porches, sunrooms, gazebos, and related exterior products. Today, there are 80 locally owned and operated offices in 28 states. Since its founding, the Archadeck network has built over 50,000 projects. Archadeck was founded in response to the tight economic times of the early 1980's. In a climate of high interest rates and a virtual depression in the construction industry, homeowners and builders alike suffered - homeowners could no longer afford to move to larger, more expensive homes. It was in these times that the remodeling industry responded to the needs of both homeowners and builders. Unable to move up, many homeowners chose to fix up and expand their residences. As families grew, so did the need for additional floor space. Remodeling the existing residence offered the affordable answer, and the industry shifted its resources in response. The remodeling industry, at over $120 billion a year and growing, is now larger than the new home industry. One of the least expensive solutions to additional floor space is the deck. Our custom decks add usable living space, with an emphasis on the benefits of an outdoor lifestyle. Even though there are no walls or roof, a deck can be used virtually all year 'round in many climates. Our custom decks also provide the platform on which a screened porch can be added later or even a full room addition. The Archadeck mission is "To enhance the lives of our customers by creating unique and innovative outdoor living environments." Archadeck has received extensive coverage in national publications such as Woman's Day Gardening & Deck Design, Family Circle, HOME, Woman's Day Gardening & Outdoor Living Ideas, Success, USA Today, Remodeling, Outdoor Casual and more. We have also had photographs of our projects grace the front covers of 8 national magazine issues. Further recognition has come from being nationally ranked in the U.S. by Qualified Remodeler magazine and one of Remodeling magazine's "Big 50" remodelers. The very first Archadeck project was a custom-designed and built wooden decks made from pressure-treated southern pine. Over 20 years and 50,000 projects later, the line of Archadeck products and material choices has widened considerably to include composite or low-maintenance decking materials made from recycled wood & plastic. Second in popularity is the screened porch. In recent years, demand for this product has exploded. Also growing in popularity is our line of sunrooms. Archadeck accessories include gazebos, pergolas, arbors, privacy screening, fences, planters, latticework, benches, and even docks. We custom-build virtually any outdoor structure. Some Archadeck owners have established showrooms, and also offer aftermarket products such as water sealers, furniture, awnings, spas, lighting, and more to help their customers maintain and decorate their Archadeck projects.
