contractor did very good work installing new bathroom fan motor. However, it cost $344.00 to do this, which seems expensive to me. Work done was replacing old fan motor with new fan motor. Maybe, I am out of touch with electrical repair prices now.

The first time I called, my estimate to wire and install two sconces and install a dimmer switch was $300-$400. I called back and spoke to another office person to schedule. Electrician showed up promptly and began work. The work order did not include dimmer switch; the electrician had to go out and get one in the middle of the job. The work was clean and as I wanted. The electrician hands me the bill... $600+!? We called the office and spoke to the manager and agreed on a price of $475. I should've refused to pay even that. It's not my problem if the office has communication issues! I THOUGHT I had found a go-to electrician; still looking.

I sepcifically told them in advance that I was looking for someone to (a) provide a dc fuse / block for a dc-battery sump-pump back-up system and (b) review my installation for code complaince. After they arrived and looked at the system, they then said they only worked on ac systems, had no dc parts, did not work with these kind of systems, ...you get the picture. A nearly complete waste of my time and money.
