Except for Ed Galley, no roofer that I spoke to was civilly reasonable. A 50sq.ft. porch roof was presented to me as a major undertaking, requiring building permits, dumpsters, large crews of men, etc.. The per sq. ft. quotes of some contractors approached Taj Mahal replacement values. In Ed's case, setup time consisted of carrying a ladder from his truck to my porch. No dumpster was required. 2-3 hours and one man did the entire job, abundantly well. Caveat emptor thrice.
