Unprofessional customer service Didn't put in approved outlet, so they had to come back a second time.

They were fantastic!! I was so pleased with the work they did (replaced thermostat, replaced kitchen ceiling fan, and replaced guts for my bathroom exhaust fan). Despite the fact I communicated repeatedly I had a 1926 home, and a heavy fixture, and asked if they'd like me to send them photos or if they could come by and look so we knew exactly what we were getting into, their actual invoice was double their estimate. That, coupled with the fact that they scratched out their rate, to a higher rate (let's talk customer's perception here, folks) added up to the worst experience I've had with a contractor in a long time. Their only offer to negotiate was 10% off my next service? You've got to be kidding. I wouldn't recommend Gres to an enemy, let alone a friend or colleague. Bad experience. Bad. Bad.

"Based solely on our phone conversation Mrs.P was told that the job should take ~3 hours, but it took 5 and a half. Here's why: No bracket/mounting hardware w/ the fixture she supplied. We had to go to a specialty lighting store to get the parts & had them bronzed to match the fixture, she added a *brown* dimmer swap which isn't common, among a number of other setbacks I wish I had room to explain."

I was giving an estimate over the phone, tech came over and never told me it will cost more, it ended up jumping from around $300 to $672 with out telling me prior to starting the work that it will be more then double. When I ask the tech why he did not tell me he said he is not an estimator where as his work sheet clearly stated that the estimate was $300. I would not have mind paying even $400 but to more then double the price, that was unfair and when I called the office they said there is nothing they can do about it. BE CAREFUL IF YOU EVER USE GRES PLEASE MAKE SURE THEY TELL YOU HOW MUCH IT WILL COST AFTER THEY GET THERE AND TAKE A LOOK

More often than not opting to skip an estimate and getting the job knocked out on a T&M basis will save both time and money, but unfortunately this is not always the case. However we strive to work through each job diligently, and when the unforeseeable arises we realize that communication is key."

Mike the owner and Mike the electrician were both fantastic! I own 2 duplex's and will never use another electrician service. I got some outrageous bids from other companies telling me I needed things done that actually didn't need to be done. The 2 Mike's were straight with me from the start and told me only what I needed done, not additional work to build their bill. Not only that, but I pleased by the quality an efficiency of their work. I will use only them in the future and I'm recommending them to everyone I know!!! In 3 words, Gres Electric exemplifies: INTEGRITY, QUALITY, AND EFFICIENCY!!!

The bid on the work was about what was expected and was lower then the others without any high pressure involved. Took about 4 hours longer then they thought as the workman had to go and get some of the fixtures needed. The work was well done even the electric inspector commented on this. The only complaint I had was the cleaning after the job was done was not what I expected, granted I told him I would clean up the shavings in my workshop he still left a box ofwires and cut conduit there and left stuff all over my garage..

Tech called when leaving for house (as promised by owner). Was able to get tech basic information & advised my tenant would show him what was needed while I drove over to meet him. The project was already in process when I arrived and quickly competed to the satisfaction of both tenant and me, the owner! I'll use this company for work again, including my own home.

I contacted Gres and they were able to do the work the next day. The electrician spliced a cable to put in another attached cable outlet. The price went over the quote by , but the work was done without problems. The electrician was very courteous and answered by questions. I was very pleased with the outcome. I would recommend Gres.
