Hawthorne Handyman was very reliable and showed up exactly when he said that he would. We used this service to rip up existing tile and to install new tiles in a 1/2 bath, entryway and mudroom. He had a good knowledge base and the work performed was very good. I would recommend him to others seeking quality work for a mid-range price.

Hawthorne Handyman did a terrific job on our bathroom. We appreciated how professional Norm Rieger and his staff were throughout the entire process. They always showed up on time, worked very hard and completed the job earlier than expected. Norm was always available to answer any of our questions and assured us that the bathroom would come out just as we had discussed. I would highly recommend Hawthorne Handyman.

The Hawthorne Handyman did a portion of the proposed job (repair bathroom). He was friendly, neat, explained any questions I had and went beyond the proposal by regrouting other areas that needed attention. I would (and have) recommend the Hawthorne Handyman to do work for anyone. (He also gave me an estimate for a basement remodel which was not executed at this time due to lack of funds on my part. He did say he would come and do bits and pieces as needed.)

NORM RIEGER WAS THE NICEST, MOST COURTEOUS PERSON. HE WAS VERY COMPETENT AND WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND EVEN ON A SIMPLE JOB--I WONT EVERY HAVE TO LOOK FOR ANOTHER HANDYMAN BECAUSE I WILL CALL THE HAWTHORNE HANDYMAN FOR EVERYTHING FROM NOW ON!! L.MILLSTEIN/OAKLAND,NJ

I felt the hourly price when worked out, was on the expensive side. Mr. Rieger refused to give an hourly price but I believe it worked out to $50 per hour or more. He left sawdust in driveway on one occasion. Most importantly, I felt he left he was unreasonable in not cutting a door to size while he was here to finish the job. He said I would have to call him and make arrangements to pay him more even though this was maybe a 15 minute job and would have finished the project! I would not recommend him for that reason alone.

Norm was very helpful. Original estimate was for deck planking only. When the old deck was removed, Norm took the time to evaluate the condition of the framing and recommended new framing. His additional cost was fair and the workmanship very good. He even provided new copper flashing where needed.
