Our experience with Jay Anderson has been so exceptionally positive that I am breaking my rule of no posts on social media and posting a review of his work. This past St Louis summer finally convinced us to add insulation to our attic. The air conditioner was running full time and could not reach a comfortable temperature. So, I climbed up into the attic and told my wife I could go to Home Depot and get some insulation to see if that fixed things. My wife, wisely, called several contractors for quotes. The proposals were all over the place from simply blowing in more cellulose to add a bigger AC unit. Being an engineer, I was un-impressed with these contractors, until I met Jay. He actually understood the issues we were facing and had pictures of many similar jobs he had completed. We signed him up and he started by removing all the existing blown-in insulation. This uncovered numerous problems, as he had predicted, and a major problem of holes and air leaks in the feed ducts. These holes were blowing cooled air into the attic. And, there was poor original construction resulting in hot attic air being sucked into the A/C. He also found the bathroom fans were vented to the edges of the roof (common construction practice 20 years ago but not the case now). He found a copper water pipe in the attic that was never insulated. There was also chewed electrical insulation and a desiccated squirrel with his nest. All these issues were fully corrected. Next, he installed protective insulated boxes over each of the lamp cans and then sprayed expanding foam insulation over all the boxes and air ducts. Finally, he blew-in cellulose to a depth of 15 inches for an R-60 value. The result was astonishing! Our large house was cooled to 65 degrees in under 2 hours and the A/C turned off. It stayed off for 24 hours and then ran for just under an hour. We cannot believe how effective this project has been. Jay is a contractor who is very easy to work with. He has serious equipment to do a truly professional job, including an impressive vacuum truck, a foam generation truck and an insulation blowing truck. I hope this write up of our experience will convince you to let him quote your job. Trust two engineers (my wife and myself) when we say that based on the quality of his work, it is a value proposition. If nothing else, you will learn how your job should be done. P.C. They drilled holes and blew in insulation. For month number one it cooled like I wanted it to. Once that was done it was like magic. It was great!

Jay and his team did an excellent job for us. The difference in the overall comfort of our home is wonderful after having the insulation installed. The air conditioner runs a small fraction of the time it was previously. Jay was very helpful in explaining everything to us and the clean up afterwards was thorough and complete. We highly recommend his company and his product. Barney and Connie Kitchen

The insulation work was done efficiently and correctly. Their experience with concrete siding made the project quick and easy. The project cost matched the estimate and Mr. Anderson was easy to work with. I do wish that the cleanup would have been a bit more thorough.
