Kenneth Keteles HVAC

Ken is a very nice guy who takes a great deal of pride in his work. He is clearly very knowledgable about his craft, and he is also extremely thorough. With regard to price, for the amount of work that he did for me (in the blistering cold, no less), the final bill was far less than I expected. I highly recommend.

They were great they were very reasonably priced and very thorough, very informative every step of the way . I would highly recommend them to anyone.

He knows how to fix old fireplaces even. He knows what he is doing .

They took longer than expected to do the work, but they did what was needed to properly repair the leak in gas line to fireplace. They were professional yet personable.

Re-writing this review as I hit submit by mistake. I have mixed feelings about writing this review. Initially, when we hired Ken we were extremely happy. So happy that I referred him to 3 family members. Other HVAC told us early this year that we needed a new system. Ken came out and assessed and stated that we did not, therefore we hired him and he fixed the unit. Several months later, we are faced with the same problem. Rather than repair he suggested we replace with a Goodman offering a 10 year warranty. As promised he came out last Friday and wrote up an invoice, requesting the money up front. This didn't sit well with me as a business owner and my husband being a General contractor in the DC area. However, because of my past experience with him and majority of these reviews I provided him CASH via cashiers check. I also realize that some small companies don't have the cash flow to complete jobs without some cash up front, but not the entire balance. He stated he had to go change trucks. Again this didn't sit well. After being gone for several hours, I called him and got a tone of excuse. I didn't feel like being held hostage any further and advised to come back Sat morning at 0900. At 1100 and no show, I called him and got yet another tone of excuses. However he finally showed up and worked majority of the day. He advised that he would need to come back on Sunday morning to finish the job. I advised that I needed to head back to DC. He didn't show therefore I had to get a family member to overview the job. I got another angry call from my family stating he hadn't showed up and had a tone of personal excuses and that he needed an electrician to come out and look at replacing the copper wiring. I immediately called him and asked for an advance invoice from this electrician in writing assessing the requirement. This never happened and unknown to my family paid him an additional $300.00. He left yet again with family issues of his son fell this and that. I'm beside myself at this point. My mother is 85 years old and the job is NOT done. I do believe that he does decent work and offers reasonable prices compared to his competition, however I'm growing extremely concerned. I will update my review once the work is complete. It is my prayer that he will return this morning and complete the job as promised. I wont even go into the problems that my other family had with him as I will leave it to them to post their review. Despite the nightmare they had, I had already began work with Ken and gave the benefit of the doubt even though there were serious concerns about him providing receipts about extra required materials. I honestly do believe that he values his company, I just think he may be having an enormous amount of personal problems that is impacting his ability to complete his work. I also believe he is taking on way more than he can handle by himself.

Ken and his son arrived shortly after the time he stated. Their work was fast and efficient even thought they had to fabricate a new frame for the air conditioner sleeve to fit into. I would reccomend him to anyone that needs work done.

Mr. Keteles is the kind of person who values his customers. Although the project went over his quote and I could not come up with the extra money, he di not cut corners or use inferior materials to finish the job. This spoke volumes for the kind of person he is; unselfish, kind, and takes pride in his work. I recommend him to all who needs HVAC work done and want to have it done right.

Kenneth was very responsive. He told us when he would be there and was there on time. He was not trying to up sale, he just really seemed to care about taking care of both us and our AC. He is a truly good guy and I have recommended him to my Mom already and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. Great experience.

I hired Ken to repair my AC unit. He was polite and tried his best to answer any questions I had, however, his time management skills were sorely lacking as he was always many hours late on both occasions he was called to my house. He was also not thorough in his work which lead to him having to come back more than once. After a week and a half in ninety degree weather I called another company who sent someone out right away and found two problems and fixed them both for less than what Ken was trying to charge me for one. I would not recommend his service's to anyone.

Ken was very nice, he took the time to show me the leaks, and he also cleaned the coiled. He came inside, checked the thermostat, and the air flow filter. He was respectful, knowledgeable, and professional. He arrived on time, and was fast.

There was a little lack of communication. I do realize things are unexpected sometimes but it was estimated at a 2-3 hours job and lasted 8 hours. I missed appointments and it was a little tense changing appoints all day long. The service was done very well and I did appreciate that.

Ken came to clean out our dryer vent and fix a condisation build up caused by the blocked vent. He ended up having to go get a part he needed and the job took a lot longer than he expected. Ken had to call his other appointment and explain our job was going to take a lot langer than expected. They understood and he took the time to do the job correct. He did an excellent job, great customer service and we will use Ken to service our annual dryer vent cleaning.

Ken is very knowledgeable, courteous and professional. I highly recommend him for your HVAC needs.
