If I could give zero stars, I would. This company is predatory to senior citizens, and has been reported to the Better Business Bureau; Michigan Attorney General's office; and the State Ombuds office. If you are a senior citizen, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Before moving, my grandparents had quotes from 3 moving companies in the East Lansing/Lansing area. They were originally impressed with M&M as the quoter came to their home, took photos, and copious notes. All 3 companies had similar quotes, but based on the speed and accuracy of the original quote gal they decided on M&M. Upon arrival to my grandparent's home the movers said the quote gal did not do an appropriate job, and more staff/trucks were needed. We agreed to more staff based on their recommendation. Long story short, my grandparents were charge DOUBLE the original quote ~$9,000.00. We followed all instructions from the company as far as the way to pack, etc. We took numerous car loads on our own to alleviate the movers taking any loose/unpacked items. We would have utilized a more reputable company had we known what a complete disaster this ordeal would have been. We called the owner (Mark) to discuss such a large discrepancy as my grandparents were forced to write a check at the time of service without any way to reconcile the invoice. Mark is the most unprofessional business owner we have ever encountered, and said there is nothing he can do other than a $700 discount. Mark talks over you, and quite frankly bulldozes anyone that has something to say that differs from his opinion. Mark is disturbing in how he handles clients, business, and the gauging of vulnerable folks. Mark said, "please leave a negative review, you aren't getting any money back." Well Mark, here is your review. And we will wait to hear from the above organizations as to their investigation into your bait and switch operation.
