To Mercury's credit, they did take care of our AC problem promptly which turned out to be a bad capacitor. My problem is with the price they charged ($250) which I feel is too much compared to what my other AC contractors have charged for the same work in the past ($90-$120). My tenant verified Mercury's technician was only there for 30 minutes. When we called ServiceMagic to complain, Mike didn't feel $250 to replace a capacitor was excessive, but said he would refund us $30 to "settle" the complaint. It's been several months now and we never heard from them again. Avoid.

I was contacted by 2 companies the first company I did not hire due to being unable to schedule an appointment and I never received a call back. A v/m was left by Mike @ Mecury - and I returned his phone call @ approximately 1045a - he stated he could have a tech out bout 230p - 3pm. At 3pm no show and no call, so I called to follow up. He said the tech was running and should be on his way. I advised him that my wife had an appointment and needed to leave the house by 5pm. - tech arrive 445p - reset the system couldnt identify the problem - and said retrip in 30 days at no charge. problem reoccured - and they didnt retrip. no follow up.

Friday morning, the condenser outside was running with frost on the connection, but nothing inside was working. I shut the system off. First plus - I called Friday morning and Mercury said it wouldn't be a problem to meet me after work at 3pm same day. He was on time, switched on the system, and it started to work. As he was outside it cut out again. He checked the system in the attic and found it was just a bad capacitor on my attic motor, he replaced it for less than $200. The system is 10 yrs old so he could have said the whole thing needed to be replaced, I would have believed him. Works perfectly again. Thanks Mike!

I was not at the property when they performed the job, but according to my property manager, they were friendly and quick. The diagnostic cost was $59, normally its $69, but since service magic matched us to them, they gave us $10 off. The guy that came in inspected the unit and knew what the problem was and fixed it in less than an hour. Very quick and very reasonable in price.

Replaced A/C unit, coil, furnance and duct work. Workers arrived on time and did professional installation job. Cleaned up after work. Mike Stephenson answered all question and explained all steps, handled paperwork and personally kept track of the entire process. Would strongly recommend them to anyone. Boyd

I felt intentionally misled on the phone. When I spoke with Miranda(?), I explained that I thought my a/c coil had a leak & i wanted that checked, as well as wanting a quote for a new coil (which i thought was under parts warranty) as well as quotes for a whole new unit. The guy came out and checked the temperature and said there was probably a leak in the coil. i asked him to be sure & he said a leak test costs $95. Miranda never mentioned this when I spoke to her. I assumed it was covered in the $69 service call fee. They offered to reduce to $75. pure crap. wasted $65 for useless visit. More to story but not enough space here...

"This customer was told our basic service was 69.00 to do a diagnostic but did not include the repair. Miranda was a temp helping out while the normal person who answers the phone had surgery. Once the service man was there the customer wanted everything for free. I don't feel they were being honest with anyone."

Service Tech was on time, performed an inspection of my systems. Told me what items need service work and provided a cost and time to perform the service. He provide additional tips on getting thhe best service from my A/C units. He also proviced information on a service policy provided by the company if I was interested,

I first called a big company by the name of JOHN MOORE. The first thing they recommended was to replace the back unit for 4500.00. The technician did not test or put gages on my system. I disagreed naturally. I called MERCURY CONTROL second and the technician tested 3-4 things and found that the fan motor was out. The process took approximately 30-45 min.. I was very satisfied with there honesty and promptness. MERCURY CONTROL can use me as a referral. It's not JOHN MOORE, It's JOHN GETS YOU MOORE !!!!!!!!

My experience with Mercury Control was absolutely beyond anything that I had expected. The technician was very knowledgebable and friendly.
