Faucets, Fixtures and Pipes - Repair or Replace
Mike did a great previous repair. So I am mystified by his behavior over a second job. We arranged that I would call him at 3 p.m. on a Saturday, when I left a message but received no reply. Approx. 10 more calls over the following five hours Mike's wife answered and said he'd been called to an emergency that would keep him away for the rest of the weekend. I asked for Mike to call to reschedule and said if Mike'd had time to tell her he'd be stuck on another job, he or she should've taken time to call me with the information. I've never had a call or apology. A skilled repairman is useless to me if he doesn't call or show up.

Mike rocked the job! First, he called me about 60 seconds after I made my inquiry on Service Magic. Then, he provided me an estimate of the job (2 electrical connections in the attic) on the phone. He showed up, got to work, and was done in 30 minutes. Charged me exactly the amount quoted. Also noticed an error I had made when installing an attic fan and made a recommendation for the fix. Good guy, good work.

Ceiling Fan - Install
Mike is very accomodating and understands that most of his customers don't want to take a vacation day from work to have work done around the house. He worked with me to schedule service in the evening which when coupled with his fair price made choosing Mountainside a no-brainer. After scheduling the service Mike showed up on time, was very professional and personable. The quality of his work was top-notch and he comes across as very honest - not the kind of guy to mislead anyone. I'd highly recommend Mike to family and friends and will definitely be using his services again in the future.

Our granite counters were put in on a Friday and Mike was willing to come out on Saturday to install our new sink and faucet. Otherwise we would of been without a sink until Monday. Mike was very friendly and professional. He also advised me on the type of faucet and where I could go to get it.I would use him again if and when the need should arise.

Mike did an awesome job. I needed my 52 in. flat panel lcd tv mounted on the wall and I wanted the wires run behind the wall. As a licensed electrician, Mike was able to do both. Not only did he mount the tv and run the wires behind the wall, he also installed my new AV receiver and home theater speakers (no easy task from the looks of the manual). All of this was completed within a few hours. From our initial conversation throughout, Mike was friendly and responsive to all my questions/concerns etc. All in all, Mike did a great job and I could not be more pleased.

Mike was very professional. He returned my initial phone call immediately and came right out the next day for an estimate. His quote was reasonable. He arrived on time to perform the job, was very efficient and knowledgeable. We are very pleased and will use him in the future for any other projects. We highly recommend Mountain Side Mechanical.

Plumbing for a Remodel or Addition - Install
Work was promptly completed at a fair price. Unfortunetly one of the new water lines installed by Mountain Side came off under the kitchen sink during the night approx 1 week or so after the work was completed. The water flooded the kitchen and basement lower level. Our insurance paid for the damages and we are waiting for the $500 deductible to be returned.

"There was a problem with defective material used to complete this job, which unfortunately wasn't able to be seen prior to installation. The office was called in the middle of the night (11:30pm)by the homeowner and we responded immediately to repair the problem and also assist with the clean up. Owners were very understanding regarding the problem.We would be more than happy to be of service the next time this customer called.Thank You for choosing MountainSide Mechanical, LLC."

Electrical Wiring or Panel Upgrade
Stellar service - hands down. The gentlemen here performed a rock solid job installing a brand new electric box in my basement and outside. He is very personal and friendly and did I mention reasonable. He called no less than 5 mins before I sent in a request for service. He also provided outstanding service to my mothers house. If you need great service - please give this company a call !!!! I highly recommend !!!!!

Ceiling Fan - Repair
Called quickly, estimated quickly. Asked for advise also on bathroom exhaust fan, told me that the best kind of fan was one for moisture. Could not remember brand but would call back with name & price. Also, before leaving he did us a "favor" & jumped the wire in the kitchen ceiling fan to give us light until he got back. Two hours later the light went out making me think of a short. Turned the fan off and didn't use again. Called on his due date, was delayed & would get back. Never called. I also checked with different stores & electricians. No one knows anything about a bathroom exhaust fan for moisture. Fan needed vent cleaned.

"I scheduled an appointment with Mrs. Lamarche, had to reschedule, tried to contact her and got no answer. The exhaust fan i refer to was for steam, model is panasonic whisper quiet, manufactures specs. tell you as long as it is GFCI protected it can be mounted directly over a shower,I never miss lead Mrs. Lamarche to believe it was for moisture, it is to elimanate steam. I never did any work there"
