The work he did was good. He was very polite and gave tips. However, I would have rated him Very Good if he had came back on one small job he promised he would do and was a part of the contract. I called and left a message which he did not return; then I called again and spoke with him. At that time he promised he would be out the following Saturday. That was at least three weeks ago and I have not heard from him since. So his follow-up is bad. Even so I would refer him to a friend but I would tell them to make sure he finishes the job before he leaves.

Juan quoted me one price to change my high chandelier bulbs but once he arrive at my home, his price increased. He informed me that he had to rent a ladder for the Job and it would cost me more. Personally I think if you offer a handyman service, you should already have a 12 foot and or 15 foot ladder, and you should stand by the quote you give on the phone. Do not increase your rate simply because you think the person can pay more.

First off, The guy Juan, called me an hr before he was suppose to do the work to re-schedule, which I thought wasn't too professional, but after I got a little upset, he made it for later that day, which was okay. The work he did, looks good, but the back splash panels he did put up, he didn't take off the plastic covering on a lot of them, which I had to go back and do. Also, I had to take the cut up pieces of the left over panels out to the garbage myself. I found quarter size liquid nail glue stuck to my floor. He kept telling me he needed to move out the day he was there, and rushed out the door.

He overcharged me because of incidentals we agreed he would purchase. We also agreed to hold back $133 until he came back to finish the room and then insisted on charging another $33 for the same purchase. So I ended up paying the final of $166. We had already figured it into the holdback figure last week. How could we decide on an odd figure like $33? He was sloppy in his final work, wouldn't put on a 2nd coat of paint and just touched up where he thought it needed. The primer was bleeding through the 1st coat of paint. Took out wall anchors and just painted over them, not the entire wall. Got paint on the door and the ceiling, never put on tape to separate ceiling from walls, fought with him to use drop cloths, that I purchased. Never used drop cloths on carpeting or floor. Gouged and knicked newly installed laminate floor, etc. etc. I could go on and on. Has a temper also. Returned excess floor items to store and somehow the store errored and credited with 2 debit cards - insisted on keeping the one and gave me the one with the correct refund. Wouldn't split the second card. There must have been dirt on his brush/roller because of bubbles on the wall, asked him to sand down and repaint and refused to do it.

"She demaned the work to be completed in two days then requested to have additaonal work done and expeted me to do it for free! She also had me buy materials and then expectes me to go return excess material for her.She was never home and had a house sitter there while the work was being done. If She was not happy with the work Why did she pay me?"

Juan installed a dishwasher for us. He explained how long it would take and any parts he purchased would be accompanied by a receipt. Juan was very professional and we would gladly use his services again.

My snow blower would not start. I called for a contractor, he called back w/in 1/2 hour... He continued to update me on his arrival time. (there had been over 6 inches of snow). The work was completed very neatly, and efficiently... I was surprised when I saw what a young entrepreneur that he was. The price was fair. But since I have a heart condition, I felt that it was worth it and it was expedited with efficiency.
