Dan made the best of a emergency repair situation. His work is great. I would recommend him to others.

Dan Koen Tile was the first time we have hired anyone from ServiceMagic. 1) He called us right away to make an appointment. 2) He showed up at our doorstep exactly at the time of the appointment, which is something new for any contractor we have worked with. 3) The job was finished in the time frame he promised. He came to work every day and worked the whole day. 4) The work was of very good quality. Even my wife couldn't find a fault with it. Also, he is very careful and left the workplace neat and tidy at the end of each day. 5) The price was competitive with 3 other contractors who gave us estimates. 6) Mr. Koen was friendly, knowledgeable, respectful and very easy to work with. 7) He did not nickel-and-dime us, in fact, he cheerfully did some minor extra work in another shower, at no charge. We would definitely use him again.

Dan remodeled our master bath from the ground up (New Floor Tile, New Shower, Vanity, Sink, etc, etc.). The house is over 30 years old, and gave Dan many unforeseen problems. Dan handled every problem thrown at him with professionalism and confidence. Most importantly, he fixed these problems the right way, and did not cut corners. The finished product is an amazing attention to subtle detail that looked better than I had even imagined. Dan had some very good ideas, like using a specialty �Sanitary Cove� tile in place of the baseboards, and went out of his way to locate a, hard to find, corner tile that finished out the job. After initial visit I had no further word from R & J Tile. Dan Koen did the job for a price I felt was fair and he did a good job of locating the necessary tile. Koen was fast and kept me informed. I would certainly use him again and would recommend him to others.
