Because of Jason, and Jason only, our home which was a total mess from a previous contractor. Jason was honest and directed us as to what we needed to do. Our home is now the way it is suppose to be ... Thank you Jason for being an honest person and we would highly reccommend him to anyone.

It took a ridiculously long time, I thought, to get the work done (paid deposit early July, finished mid-October, for a relatively small deck). But the contractor was going through some personal issues, which affected things. The crew itself was very nice and respectful. The deck ended up looking great. (Although they were supposed to create a bench to cover up damaged siding, and even though the high quality carpenter measured, his lovely benches weren't actually high enough to cover anything.) As compensation for the delay hassles (ruined grass etc.), the owner allowed a staggered time to pay off the balance after I requested it.

Since it was a small job, I don't think I was a high priority. It was difficult to talk to the right person and communication was a hassle. Once I got someone on site, they did a nice job and the price was right.

Overall, we were happy with the work of Northern Exposures. There were two things that really bugged us, though. The first thing was communication. After signing the contract, paying the half deposit, and having the sales guy tell us they�d be there within a week, we didn�t hear from the company for about three weeks. Even then, the only reason we talked was because I called to ask when they were coming. The second thing was cleanliness. The workers left lots of screws and little pieces of metal laying around the house, and two separate piles of aluminum shavings in our lawn. ***

Still working on the project, and it was supposed to be complete beginning of September, but we dont mind as long as it gets done before October. I will complete this rating once the job is complete.

Northern Exposure sold themselves and their company very well. Their prices were the best, and their service is highly reccommended.

I had new gutters put on my house and the work done so far seems adequate. I would never recommend this company to anyone. I paid half of my money upfront on 5/14/04. The sales person would not call me back to tell me when the job would be done. I then left a message for the Product Manager. The PM was wondering why I was in such a hurry to have the job completed. N.E.E.I. then installed my gutters on 5/24/04 without telling me they were coming. One of the down spouts was not done as promised and I was not given as many gutter extensions as promised. I have left two messages(1 for the PM and 1 for the sales person) and as of 6/02/04 N.E.E.I. has not returned my calls. If you do use this company I would recommend not paying anything until you are satisfied with the work.

Took awhile to get the job started but the porch is absolutely beautiful. Customer service is top notch. We have one remaining piece to fix, but have every confidence that it will be done to our full satisfaction. Highly recommend this company!

The job seems to be done well and the installers left everything clean. I did have a frustrating time communicating with the company. I have a question about one part of the job that I'm not confident will ever be answered due to the previous communication problems so the jury is still out as to the quality/completeness of the work.

It has not rained yet, so I can't say for final how things ended up, but the skylight looks great. Mark was very courteous and once there, did an excellent, very efficient job.
