As members of the National Kitchen & Bath Association we specialize in retrofitting kitchens and baths for the special needs of the aging who wish to remain in their homes as long as possible. Using guidelines created by the National Aging in Place Council (NAIPC) we offer numerous options to assisted living facilities. Employing barrier free designs our "In-law suites", bathrooms and kitchens provide a safer space for daily living. Job was to replace a shower due to plumbing leak. Started well, they protected our stairwell and carpet well. David never followed up on the work of his contractors. Only times I saw him was when he came collecting a check. Corners were cut. Job took twice as long as promised. Should never of paid the final amount until I was satisfied. He charged me $600 extra for non-molding grout which I have found online for $80. I have replaced parts of the shower floor grout myself 2x now due to cracks and grout coming out. His guys left a bunch of trash and boxes in the front yard one day, had to call them to clean it up. Unacceptable. After the shower was remodeled we realized the initial problem wasn't fixed. His guys cut a hole in my ceiling and propped the pipe into place with a paint stick and tile. Really? They put nails through the dry wall into hallway, initially put the soap dispenser in wrong place as well as wrong shaped drain. Instead of putting in a whole new baseboard they patched ours it looks awful. I was constantly going behind his guys finding issues. Will never recommend them to anyone.

Numerous delays and many excuses all of which were never the contractor. Very poor communication which lead to an ethical question of competency. A small bathroom remodel took twice as long as it should, lasting 6 weeks past promised completion date.

I would rate the performance of Point of View Design on several levels: Vision � David helped us to see what we could not see and gave us very helpful ideas. He was not condescending to our ideas but he did raise the vision to another level. Performance � The individual workmen seemed to be the extremely competent and respected both our property and ourselves [my wife and me]. The beauty of the project speaks well of their pride in workmanship. We hired POV to remodel the master bath. We found David G's suggestions and ideas very helpful. He is very creative and there didn't seem to be any challenge that he couldn't find a workable option for. During the course of the remodel there were several hiccups as always happens with any type of remodel and I was impressed with the way POV worked to make everything right. We were so happy with the results that we hired them to do a second job which involved remodeling a half bath, laundry room and replacing the kitchen floor. This job went very smoothly and was finished in less time than originally projected.

We've renovated our entire house using three different contractors. Point of view design was by far the worst. There was no Forman for the job and they were terribly disorganized. Due to this disorganization they tried to cut corners whenever they were put in a bind due to their lack of preparation. Owner told us whatever he thought would placate the situation. Materials ordered rarely matched what we picked out because he waited till the last minute to order materials and we often we forced to wait on the wrong materials. Spent multiple weekends searching for the right materials after work was scheduled and wrong materials were delivere

"First we did NOT build an addition but renovated two bathrooms on two floors at the same time. Several supply chain events with tile and stone did delay delivery of the project. These were NOT due to our placing orders late. Materials were ordered well before they were needed in accordance with these distributor's stated lead times. The tile selected was imported and our distributor failed to deliver the correct material on a timely basis and repeatedly gave bad info which we passed on. Superviser was on the site and work that could be completed while waiting was. We work hard to deliver on time and this project could have gone better"

The finished product looks fabulous. However, the quality of the work was only 4 out of 5 stars after the second time things were done. Almost everything had some problem that we had to meet with the contractor about and then the workers had to redo the work. It was the best price we got out of about 5 quotes, but it was a headache the entire time. The workers aren't trustworthy. Drawers were rifled through and my computer was used.

"This client acted as their own general contractor and had workmen from other companies on this site. We have a full one year warranty and have had NO claims made since the job was completed six months ago. All of our workmen have worked for us for years and were supervised daily. Even during the construction which was phased due to delays on materials selected by the homeowner there was never a complaint nor did we have to re-do any work. Our workers are trustworthy and skilled craftsmen and we have never had any negative feedback regarding the invasion of personal property."

Very Professional. Presented me with a contract outlining the specific work to be done with cost of each step. As opposed to others who said 'Here sign this we'll fill it out later.' Thought the project would maybe take a week maybe 2, finally finished the 3rd week. Nice to see a company who clean up when the work is done. And David was always available by phone, text, or email. Intial contacts and estimates very professional. The work on our project will not begin until Jan.2010. My project, a sunroom, is now complete and wanted to update our experience with Point of View Design. We are very happy with our sunroom, itt looks great!!!!! Even though the project took longer than we expected,(due to weather conditions), once it was complete, the wait was well worth it! The owner, David Gilliland, was always prompt in returning my phone calls, dealing with my concerns, and giving me updates!

Horrible, My work is still not complete I just filed a complaint with the BBB asking for compensation. I just had a shelf come off the wall come to find out it was just put up their without toggle bolts or put on the stud for support. This is the third mishap with him. I paid his worker additional monies to do work that later I found out where included in the contract. If you send me and address I will send you correspondence of all of this. I gave the worker an additional 200.00 on July 29 draft no 1630. Mr. Gilliand came in with promises and didnt deliver at all. The designed he promised i didnt get. i am extremely upset.

"THE JOB WAS COMPLETED, INSPECTED AND APPROVED BY BOTH CODE ENFORCEMENT AND THE CLIENT WHO OVER THREE MONTHS AGO PAID HER FINAL BILL AFTER GOING THROUGH A COMPLETE PUNCH LIST. It would appear that unknown to our Company she solicited and hired one of our unlicensed sub-contractors to do additional work for which we were NOT involved nor did we received any compensation. ONE WARRANTY CLAIM WAS REQUESTED OF OUR OFFICE AND IT WAS REPAIRED. If she has other issues they are as yet to requested. We in no way are responsible for this other man's work. Our project came in as planned and documented as well as under the estimated time and on budget."

Overall bad experience. Problems with his work crews and his sub contractors. Too many mistakes due to poor workmanship and lack of knowledge. Now there are payment issues. Just want this distraction out of my life.

"This was a job where the client acting as his own general contractor contracted to build out only a portion of the job, specifically a shell. Initial portions of the work were performed by client incorrectly and at no additional charge we did our work twice. We did an excellent job of delivering a weather proof shell in time and in budget. When the Client changed his mind on bathroom configuration he did not want to pay for changes which were direct charges from the plumber with no mark up. When final bill was presented (note less than $ 500) client manufactured issues in an attempt to avoid payment. Client received ample value."
