Richard Mock Designs, Inc.

For the past 15 years Richard Mock has worked directly for such award-winning custom home building companies as Sovereign Homes, The Mungo Company and John Wieland Homes, Professional Builder Magazine's 1994 National Builder of the Year. He has also worked for our country's top residential designers, including Frank Betz Associates, Builder Magazine's Best Plan Designer from 1992-1996, and Steven Fuller of Design Traditions, Inc., Southern Living Magazine's featured designer. Richard has lived in Columbia since 1995, when he was recruited away from Atlanta to serve as the first-ever Director of Plan Development for Sovereign Homes. In 1998 he launched Richard Mock Designs. Richard designed several custom homes in Ascot, an upscale Northwest Columbia community that received Regal's Best Community Award in 1997. He was also involved in planning and designing Ascot Courtyards, which features unique garden and patio homes. His work in the Ascot community was featured in the 1996 and 2001 Homebuilders Association of Columbia's Parade of Homes. Richard was recently selected to design homes for Harborside, Lake Carolina's historic replica community. Richard studied architecture at Georgia Institute of Technology and Southern Poly-Technical Institute and is an active member of the American Institute of Building Designers (AIBD) and the Homebuilders Association of Columbia (HBA).
