Securiteam replaced an alarm panel in my home. The installer, Al, showed up early for the change out. Replacing the alarm panel required running new wiring since the old transformer could not be located. He checked the entire house and the attic. He ran the new wire professionally. He programmed my new panel and ran the required test. Before leaving he made sure that I understood how the panel worked. The job took longer than expected, but he was very patient, ensuring that the job was done correctly. I was extremely pleased and not not resitate reciommending Securiteam to anyone.

I came to ServiceMagic specifically looking for a company that would repair my existing alarm system without requiring me to sign-up for a contract with a new monitoring company. I had a rather difficult time finding a company that would do this, until I found Securiteam. They sent out a tech based on my availability and repaired my current system at an incredibly reasonable rate. The tech was professional and pleasant and listened to my needs. The office team at Securiteam was also incredibly helpful. Overall, this is a great company and I will most definitely be hiring them for future security needs.

I was told on the phone at my first contact that the tech could re-program my security system if the original security code was lost (which it was). When the tech arrived, he repaired the cut wires in the keypad and pressed several combinations on the key pad with no success. He then "shrugged his shoulders" and said that I needed a new keypad and motherboard. He seemed very interested in selling me the monitoring service with a 3 year contract. I paid him $125.00 for approximately 20 minutes with nothing to show for this and no suggestions. This company's primary focus appears to be getting the customer to have the system monitored.

"Explained rates to the customer on the phone prior to service. He did not know the type of system in his home. The technician arrived on site and repaired wiring. The system type he had required a code to enter programming. We tried the default code and called the manufacturer for assistance. The previous company changed the codes preventing access to programming as required. We gave the customer two options: (1) we could replace his control panel and keypad for $425. (2) we could do the same for free if he signed up for our monitoring service. We held the check for the agreed upon price until he decided. He chose neither."

We were lied to and told that we'd have monitoring on our windows. When the installer came out he said he'd have to install a montion detector. He did not indicate there was a charge until after installation. Steve Steadman was my salesman and indicated he would take care of the charge and didn't. I tried to cancel and they won't cancel. I've called to have it rectified and my calls have not been returned. Stay away from this vendor. This is the 6th home I have had alarm service and the first problem.

"President of the company has tried to contact the customer to resolve the issue. The pricing the customer recieved from the sales rep was based on the windows being wired. The isntaller arrived and found that all the wires were cut when the windows were replaced and the could not be repaired. In addition to motion sensors, we offered to install wireless contacts at a 50 % discount."
