Nice guys and they work hard. However; I had to convince the owner to provide sample paint upfront (different color choices) so that I could see what it would look like on my walls. They do not provide customer-focused service. Once we worked through some of the details....they did an "okay" job. Shine needs to update its approach to customers and realize that there are a LOT of other choices out in the market. I would give them a grade of "C" overall.

Besides painting exterior, I needed to fix some dry-rots first. The handyman from SHINE who fixed the dry-rots is experienced and skillful. And nice too. The painting job was excellent and efficient. The price was very competitive. I would hire SHINE again for the next painting job. And I will recommend to my friends as well.

Shine performed a great job.

In every step of the process, Shine kept me informed of the schedule and showed up on time. There was a problem with a new POV primer (fume-free, environmentally friendly paint) not adhering well over old oil-based doors and frames. Shine responded immediately and promptly to fix the problem, with no hassle or resistance. They were committed to quality and good service. I was fixing up a rental unit and I wish all the other vendors had been as professional and quality-conscious as Shine.

Polite and thoughtful painters. On time every day. Work continious only breaking for a short lunch. They were neat and able to paint straight lines.

I hired Shine Painting to paint my house blue with white trim. Simon sent people who could not speak English. They painted the blue over the sides of my white vinyl window casings. The paint had to be removed and I was assured he would use liquid to do this, but he used a scraper and scraped off all the caulking from around all my vinyl windows. There were a lot of drips and flaws in the paint job. My front door had to be painted twice because of all the flaws (drips, scrapes, blue specks, etc.). There is still blue paint residue on my cement patio that they never removed. The communication with Simon was very poor, instead of being understanding and addressing my concerns, he became defensive and somewhat rude. He never even came by at the end of the job to inspect it and I have never heard one word from him. It was a very unpleasant and stressful experience from beginning to end.

Responded quickly to quote request, competitive pricing, professional contract, provided license and insurance documents, arrived on time, completed quickly. Only caveat: called and left a voicemail after work completion for some touch-up work for a repaired area and did not receive a return call.

Overall he did a good job! He was very prompt and professional and noticed details that other companies did not. That was helpful.

One of the most frightful events for a remodeling home owner is the doubt or suspense if the contractor that one hired will do the job according to their binding contract; Shine Paint Company did exactly what was expected of them and�then some. Simon Shin was very professional from the very beginning of our exterior paint project to the completion of the job. He communicated with every aspect of the tasks and also listened to our requirements extensively, which lessen our fear of doubt. Simon assigned 3 exceptional crew members (Santos, Francisco & Salvador) to do the work on our 2000 sq ft home and they were very courteous on every aspect of their work. Not only they were punctual but also very diligent while making certain that every item (air conditioning and tank less water units) were completely covered with tarp during their task. Beside from being tidy, Santos and his crew accommodated every minor adjustment that my wife and I truly believed that needed to be address. A true test of a good contractor is that�he�s able to amend and respect the customer�s eccentric ways of fulfilling their dream project(s). Shine Painting Company not only went above and beyond our exterior painting expectations but also left us with no doubt that they were/are an excellent painting company. After saying that�we highly recommend Shine Painting Company (and its crew of Santos, Francisco and Salvador) to anyone who desires his/her home to be painted.
