Specialty Woodcraft

Garage was built and is functioning "to a tee" - no shortcuts.

We did not have a garage built, but did have the front of our house repaired and resided. Mr. Auten and his crew were timely, professional and gave our home a beautiful new look. The type of siding we chose was very work intensive and everything came out extremely well - we really love it !! In addition to the siding work, Specialty Woodcraft made us aware of a problem with windows we'd had installed and were instrumental in causing the window company to inspect and redo five windows that had been improperly placed. We can't thank them enough for saving us from future rot problems and water damage. We were very happy with everything !!

I would highly recommend Specialty Woodcraft for any home remodeling project -- especially woodwroking and trim. I had most of my windows and all of my baseboards replaced with oak trim as well as a few door ways retrimmed. Everything looks spectacular. They were very clean and I swear my place looked cleaner when they were done than before they started. They were also very trustworthy as I had to leave them run of th place during the day becuase of my work schedule. As far as negatives would go. They are not the most inexpensive contractor out there. However, they were also not outrageous and given the quality of the work they did I do plan on calling them again. You definitely get what you pay for. My only other concern is that I had a different contractor working on building a large garage and foundation for me around the same time Specialty Woodcraft said they could start my interior work. Specialty actually called my other contractor and gave them some grief about "stealing" their garage job. This was a little odd and to be honest irritated me. The matter settled down and there were no further problems but be aware if you are having multiple people work on your house -- Specialty gets somewhat territorial. Like I said though, I will be calling them back for more work in the future.
