About us

Since 1989 Stanaway's Outstanding Services, S.O.S. has been providing residential housecleaning services throughout the Greater Lansing area. We offer a discount for seniors (60 or older) and for the disabled. All supplies and equipment are provided by us. We are reliable and thorough. Service is available weekly, biweekly, monthly or as needed. Gift Certificates are available. One time only, spring/fall cleaning, move in/out service available as well. We are an approved provider for Tri County Office on Aging.

The estimated time to do the cleaning I requested was 1 hour. I was informed that it took 3 hours, but they would only charge me for one hour. I decided to pay for 2 hours, but have regreted doing so. The more I looked around at the work that was done the more I found that the quality was poor. I asked that some of the areas that were missed when vacuuming be done. They crew came out and it was very clear as to why it took 3 hours to do the cleaning I requested. It took about 10 minutes for the vacuuming redo of an area about 2 square feet. If I ever use this service again it will NOT be with the two people who did my cleaning.

Completed the job that she was hired to do and impressed the landlord so much that he hired her crew to do more work. I believe that he was satisfied and that was what we needed. However, not cleaning carpets is a downfall but otherwise, very satisfied with the referral and service rendered.
