I had a new house built and chose not to upgrade certain things in order to save money. So I had 4 pendant lights placed over my breakfast bar in my kitchen, 2 flourescent lights removed and replaced with recessed lighting throughout kitchen, and 2 recessed lights that were not placed correctly removed and smoothed over. My kitchen ceilings are smooth and at first I was hesitant, thinking that it would be impossible to smooth them back out after removing the recessed lights that were placed incorrectly, but they were able to smooth them back. They also were able to work around my schedule and didn't leave a mess.
