"When we bought the family home, we inherited the last visit of a service contract. Two guys showed up for the appointment, one supposedly in training. After inspecting the furnace, the lead technician told me we needed a $1400 repair. He also tried to sell me about $1100 in other stuff, including air filters because “they had special filters that nobody else had.” At that point, I realized this guy was really more of a salesman and just wanted them to leave. I declined all future service and asked for the service slip. He and the new guy went out to the truck to write up it up, and were out there for 25 minutes. I finally went out to the truck to see why it was taking so long because I was waiting to leave the house. The tech claimed it was because he was teaching the new guy, but — hey, I’m not stupid! — they were obviously taking a break before their next appointment. I would not recommend this company to anyone."

Fuloa (Foo-low-ah) means, "FLOOR" in the Fijian Islands and we are known for our healthier interior flooring, countertop and care/maintenance services. Having worked at and ran previous successful floor covering companies for 18 years, I noticed what was not being done in our industry and decided to change the direction of the types of services a floor covering company would give. I wanted to find, "solutions for a healthier, cleaner indoor environment" by using more efficient ways to install floor covering, improving the air quality during and after the installation process, and using materials that are better for our health. Having started from the knees up, I understand my trade and know how to communicate clearly and finish projects precisely. Let me bid your next flooring and counter top project OR clean and maintain your existing floors!

The best attic insulation depends on where you live, the project stage, and your budget. New builds often benefit from structural insulated panels for top-tier efficiency, while homes in very warm regions can see big cooling savings with reflective insulation. Blown-in, loose-fill, and spray foam all excel at filling odd spaces in finished attics. Talk with a certified local pro to match the material to your climate, space, and wallet.
You’ll only need a licensed electrician if the project calls for moving existing wiring or adding new fixtures. For straightforward insulation jobs, your insulation installer can work around current cables. That said, never start insulating until a pro has checked any questionable wiring. If you suspect damaged or outdated circuits, book an electrician first to keep the project—and your home—safe and code-compliant.
Without air sealing, even the best insulation can underperform. Gaps let heated or cooled air leak out, forcing your HVAC system to work harder and driving up energy bills. Sealing those cracks before adding insulation locks in conditioned air, keeps moisture at bay, and helps the new material hit its full R-value. Ask your insulation pro to tackle sealing first so you enjoy consistent comfort and lower monthly costs.
Among readily available options, structural insulated panels and rigid foam boards top the charts with R-values that can reach 8.0. They’re ideal for new construction or very cold climates where maximum thermal resistance matters most. If you live in a milder zone, blown-in or loose-fill insulation may deliver plenty of performance at a lower price. Weigh the upfront cost against energy savings—and lean on a local pro’s guidance—to pick the smartest fit.
