"We hired I&C Painting Services to stain our log cabin and paint our porches this past fall. We were extremely satisfied with their work. Carmelo and his crew did an outstanding job prepping the surfaces the right way without cutting any corners and accomplishing the staining and painting jobs in record time. They went above and beyond our expectations. We highly recommend I&C Painting Services for all your painting needs!!!"

"I met Matt in 2024 from the Benton AR Home and Garden show. He helped me with painting a house that I was prepping to sale and did such a great job that I hired him to paint my new forever home. Helped me with color schemes and design. I love the crown molding ribbon in blue,,it compliments the colors throughout the home. I highly recommend Matt Casanova and his crew!! "

"Both inside and outside work completed in timely manner and very considerate scheduling communication. All work completed by skilled painter Robert Logan. Both Les and Robert were very flexible with our home schedule and weather. Quality materials used and had option for us to provide or them to provide. Have used this company in the past and will continue to use them for future painting projects."

"Our house had gone 15 years without much updating. An area we thought we would start with was the front door and select window sills that were flaking paint bad. The front door was a mess with sticky glue and oozing residue due to direct sun exposure. Jim spent hours prepping the door and window sills. After his paint job all looked like new. When all was said and done we felt great about our money being well spent. Our sales associate was Heath and our painter was Jim. Both did their jobs in a professional manner and we will use them again. <br />"

"We contacted based on the reviews here on Angie's list and after reading through the reviews and our experience I would say that most of the reviews are accurate -- both good and bad. Ruth came out with Lena and did the estimate. We walked through the house and described what we wanted done. An estimate was provided and we agreed to the price. <br /> The first cleaning was preformed, took longer than normal and the charge doubled -- We expected something like this so we didn't have a problem with the charge. The cleaning itself was good (A) and we were pleased with the work done. <br /> There were a couple email exchanges about the rate as opposed to the charge -- if they spend 2 hours cleaning what is the rate. There was a bit of a problem communicating that we were looking for a rate and not trying to challenge her on the cost. We simply wanted to know what her rate was. We considered having her do additional work above and beyond what was negotiated and wanted to budget for an estimate of that work. After some rather snippy emails we finally came to the answer we were looking for. I won't post it here as it is hers to negotiate. <br /> Payments were a problem (ours, not hers) but we finally sent checks out a week prior to the service so she would get them in the mail on time. They would have been easier if there was an account that we could send them to or a regular office but I suppose that is part of the reduction in expenses (kitchen table management). <br /> We received the subsequent cleanings over a period of 6-8 weeks. After the last cleaning before Thanksgiving she left and a few minutes later sent a text indicating that she was bumping the price. She had just talked with me so I was a bit surprised as she could have spoken to me and explained why she felt like she had underbid the house originally, or perhaps sent an email, left a voice-mail, or sent a letter. This wasn't the last straw but was a bit troubling. <br /> While we agreed to the tasks and the bi-weekly price with a rotation of some of the tasks there were several tasks that were never done -- if she had taken notes she probably would have remembered what was discussed. <br /> In the end we have dropped her service for the following reasons in the order of precedence: <br /> <strong>Consistency;</strong> The quality of the service was not consistent, sometimes it was great (A) other times it was mediocre (C) <br /> <strong>Consistency: </strong>Each time we had someone different in the house, Ruth and someone else. Her last text indicated that she wanted two complete strangers to do the job. <br /> <strong>Completion of the tasks: </strong>We had 7 tasks that were to be completed, three of them were never done <br /> <strong>Commitment</strong>: She made a commitment but only partially followed through <br /> <strong>Professionalism:</strong> We had issues with the emails, the method of communication (texts about information that should/could have been discussed in person), and follow-through."

"Great experience with Lewis & Company Construction! Such a relief to find a company that was fairly priced, timely, honest, and strong communication throughout the job completion. lWhen looking for a contractor you need someone who is going to spend the time to write up a detailed estimate and be knowledgeable about what will be involved in the remodel and/or repair. Go to Lewis & Company who will get the job done the right way, the first time, and in the time promised! To respect the time it takes to provide a proper estimate, Lewis & Company requires a small service charge for a formal estimate. To me, it was well-worth the charge as it showed me they were committed to providing me with an accurate estimate and it gave me an idea of how thorough James and his crew would be in completion of the job. James also did a detailed walk-through of the work I was interested in completing and gave me useful, honest, and practical advice regarding my budget constraints. James and Lewis completed about $15K of home repairs/upgrades in preparation for putting my parent's home on the market. All my interactions with both James and his employees were great and I felt comfortable with them in my home. There was always good communication with me regarding when they would be coming. There was about a 3 week wait for the initial meeting, 1 month for the detailed estimate, and about 2 months for the work to start- but this was told to me upfront (and I was willing to wait for this company) and I was always kept in the loop if there was going to be a delay. Once the job started, it was completed on fast and on schedule. I was super happy with the work they provided and so relieved to have found a company I could trust in home remodels or builds."

"Professional. Provided written estimate. Because we asked for a brand of stain (TCW)  that was not available locally, Jack found it in Hot Springs and brought a sample to paint on a small area for us to approve the color.  The crew was pleasant , did the work in a timely manner and put all the furniture, etc. back when they were done.  They responded promptly to a couple of small things that we noticed after that.  The only issue that I would caution others about is that the stain was sprayed onto the new deck which is next to a swimming pool.  The stain (which was oil based) got into the pool and has been a chore to remove.  This may not be so much of a problem with a water based stain. <br />"

"We needed a new roof on our home ASAP. We called Beason Roofing and they replaced the roof of our home a couple of days later, and did a fantastic job! They did the whole thing in half a day, and after they left you couldn’t even tell they had been there because it was so clean. I would highly recommend them."

FAQs for exterior home or structure paint or stain projects in Austin, AR

Painting vinyl siding is a budget-friendly way to revive curb appeal without paying for new panels. As long as the boards aren’t warped, cracked, or leaking, a coat of high-quality acrylic paint can buy you another five to 10 years before replacement.

Stick to lighter shades so the siding doesn’t soak up excess heat, and prep the surface well for the paint to bond. If you’re seeing rot or moisture damage, skip the paint and plan for new siding instead.

High-quality acrylic paint is recommended for vinyl siding. Acrylic paint adheres firmly to vinyl surfaces and resists peeling and fading, providing a sleek and long-lasting finish. Ensure the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for optimal results. Your exterior painting pro has the expertise to properly prepare your siding’s surface to ensure proper adhesion.

Priming is not required if the vinyl siding remains in good condition and is properly cleaned. However, if the original color is severely faded or the panels have become porous, priming becomes essential. Priming provides a smooth, even base that improves paint adhesion and enhances durability, ensuring the acrylic finish adheres properly and lasts longer.

A paint sprayer is the quickest, most consistent way to coat vinyl siding. The fine mist reaches grooves a roller can miss and lays down an even layer in a fraction of the time. You’ll still need a brush for tight corners, but a sprayer slashes labor hours and reduces lap marks.

If you’re renting equipment, ask the supplier for a tip size made for exterior acrylics so the paint atomizes correctly and sticks to the siding.

Painted vinyl siding lasts between five and 10 years. The durability depends on the quality of the surface preparation and the local climate conditions. When the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepped, and high-quality acrylic paint is used, the finish endures longer. In hotter regions, the lifespan may be closer to five years, while cooler climates help extend it.
