"Tiana and her husband Tino were prompt and professional. They were very down to earth and friendly. They even gave some love to my dog who is shameless when asking for attention. The job was done efficiently and within the 2 hour approx estimated time. She shared that they have recently moved to the area from Florida which explains all her previous reviews and shared experiences. When I returned to a fresh and cleanly smelling house I paid her in cash with the agreed amount with no hassle. I plan to continue having her on a monthly basis! Fabulous job and definitely crown worthy for giving me a break from folding/hanging my laundry at least once a month. 👑"

Hey, I'm Lance! I became a professional online portrait artist in 2006 after my family was taken from me in a tornado losing my mother, father, brother, and son. Twenty-eight lives were taken as well as all their possessions, like mine. I drew from destroyed photos their families so they could have memorial portraits of them at the funerals and for the rest of time. Since then I have made a living traveling the country doing shows and drawing from photos you email me on line. There is NO GIFT more unique that brings more tears of joy to a loved one's eyes like one of these. Nothing. I've seen it time and time again. I make it affordable to anyone who's ever wanted one of these. Paintings with half the detail of these can cost upwards of $30,000 limiting something like this from hanging in living rooms for families to the rich only. Not anymore. Here's how it works..\n Simply email me your favorite picture or pictures to aarontristan39@gmail.com with a brief description of what you would like done. The bigger and clearer the picture the better the drawing. I will start an initial sketch right away and take pictures of it and show it to you. Please email them quickly if possible, because the holidays are coming and I get busy. Once the initial sketch is done. I usually take something down on it. It's a lot of work doing the initial sketch. This varies on the cost of the drawing which we will discuss right away.\n Drawings are usually 175 for 9x12's\n 225 for 11x14's\n 275 for 14x17's\n After this process is done I continue with your art piece sending you photos on line all the way through which many people find a lot of fun. I am also friends on Facebook with almost every person I've ever drawn for as well and would like to be your friend as well if you would like that. I post them on FB at your discretion. It makes me way more legit to people as well. \n The Prices vary with the art because of the size of the drawing as well as the number of faces. The number of faces DOES NOT double the cost. Usually an extra face is added depending on the size from anywhere between 25 and 50, but I do deals on these more than anything, so please call me about it at .(850) 691-3976

"It went well once I knew what number to call. I believe the phone number on here is a number to call and it forwards to his number. Then if you text the number on here to communicate, he does not get it as it is not the number his number it is the number to reach him through this site. After I figured that out, he came over, quoted me what it would be, and since not too big of deal, he cut it right after giving me a price and got it done quickly. I certainly would hire again. Thanks!"

"We've known him for over 10 years and we have been purchasing things here and then. Finally, based on our friendship, we hired him to decorate our basement. Things didn't go well. Lots of things appear to be used or cheap, Temu level. We asked for antique posters, we got a print that we found online for 1/10 of the price. He also dumped the boxes in our basement, and we never heard back from him. If we are paying for his hours, I would expect service, including someone coming and unpacking and he doing the adjustments, etc. After a few months, I decided to unpack, that's when we found out about the poster and also that some items were missing. We then emailed him, and he looked very responsive saying he would do the adjustments but never did. Months and months just pretending. Enormous emails basically saying he was feeding poor children and awkward unrelated comments. He even insinuated we were having money problems since we wanted our money back. I order things from people I don't know all the time and when there is a problem, those people are usually helpful. I was not expecting this from a person that I have known for over 10 years. Now, I believe his friendship is only for his benefit and it is not real. Be aware of all the fairy tales of how he says he is, of how he has good heart, how he treats his clients and how they treat him. For me it was not only a money pit but also a personal disappointment. It sucks but that is how life is. btw, I still don't have my money back after 7 months of emails."

FAQs for holiday lighting add or remove projects in Bardstown, KY

If climbing ladders or handling wiring isn’t in your comfort zone, hire a pro. Look for installers who post clear per-foot or hourly rates, carry insurance, and have solid reviews. Comparing at least three quotes helps you spot fair pricing without sacrificing safety. Skipping credentials to save a few dollars can cost you far more in repairs, so pick a qualified team and enjoy a safe, eye-catching display.

Yes, booking between February and September often scores lower rates because demand is light and pros have open calendars. You might even negotiate a discount package that includes removal or storage. If the budget is tight, ask whether a handyperson or an off-season permanent-light install makes sense for your home and timeline.

Determining the number of holiday lights for your house depends on your home’s size and specific decorative vision. Your project requires 10 to 20 light strands for a basic exterior display, with 100 lights allocated for eaves and an additional 10 to 20 bulbs for each awning.

For trees and substantial shrubs, allocate five to 10 strands per unit to achieve complete and balanced illumination across your property.

Tipping isn’t mandatory, but it’s a nice way to thank your installer for a job well done. Most homeowners offer 10% to 20% of the total bill or round up to an even figure if the crew exceeds expectations. A small extra goes a long way toward showing appreciation—and may help you snag priority booking next season.

Yes, you can install holiday lights yourself if your property layout is straightforward and your electrical system is secure. Homeowners who are confident in their ability to safely handle wiring and use proper equipment can save money with a DIY approach.

However, it is crucial to test all outlets thoroughly and secure the proper ladders and safety gear before starting. Careful planning and adherence to safety guidelines are essential to protect yourself and your home while achieving an attractive display.

Start by clearing the area of loose debris, damaged shingles, and anything that could trip you up. Test outdoor outlets and, if you’re unsure, bring in an electrician. Use a sturdy extension ladder (or scaffolding for very high spots) and never work alone—having a helper steady the ladder is non-negotiable. Taking these simple steps keeps you, your roof, and your new lights safe.
