"I was told that charges would begin when they left their shop and would end at the completion of the job. Sadly, I was charged for a trip to and from, neither of which was in the proposal. In speaking to other electrical companies as well as my own 45 years of experience as a home improvement contractor, installing a couple of bath exhaust fans is clearly a one man job, and should've cost around $350 - $400 total. However I found upon their arrival that the company policy is to send 2 men per job whatever the job. I provided a ladder for easy access to the hugely open attic and then proceeded to observe the next 3 hours one man doing 95% of the work as the other basically watched. No problem... accept that I was being charged $70 per hour per man and then told by the rude and unreasonable office personnel, Victor, that he was informed by the techs that I probably would be unhappy with the high charges. Being charged a $280 trip charge as well as $70 per hr. for a "gopher" is pretty excessive. I would never recommend Lloyd's Electric to anyone and am sorry I had to experience using them even once. They did say they enjoyed my wife's fresh German chocolate cake as well as the remainder roll of my "special" tape they took!"

Hey, I'm Lance! I became a professional online portrait artist in 2006 after my family was taken from me in a tornado losing my mother, father, brother, and son. Twenty-eight lives were taken as well as all their possessions, like mine. I drew from destroyed photos their families so they could have memorial portraits of them at the funerals and for the rest of time. Since then I have made a living traveling the country doing shows and drawing from photos you email me on line. There is NO GIFT more unique that brings more tears of joy to a loved one's eyes like one of these. Nothing. I've seen it time and time again. I make it affordable to anyone who's ever wanted one of these. Paintings with half the detail of these can cost upwards of $30,000 limiting something like this from hanging in living rooms for families to the rich only. Not anymore. Here's how it works..\n Simply email me your favorite picture or pictures to aarontristan39@gmail.com with a brief description of what you would like done. The bigger and clearer the picture the better the drawing. I will start an initial sketch right away and take pictures of it and show it to you. Please email them quickly if possible, because the holidays are coming and I get busy. Once the initial sketch is done. I usually take something down on it. It's a lot of work doing the initial sketch. This varies on the cost of the drawing which we will discuss right away.\n Drawings are usually 175 for 9x12's\n 225 for 11x14's\n 275 for 14x17's\n After this process is done I continue with your art piece sending you photos on line all the way through which many people find a lot of fun. I am also friends on Facebook with almost every person I've ever drawn for as well and would like to be your friend as well if you would like that. I post them on FB at your discretion. It makes me way more legit to people as well. \n The Prices vary with the art because of the size of the drawing as well as the number of faces. The number of faces DOES NOT double the cost. Usually an extra face is added depending on the size from anywhere between 25 and 50, but I do deals on these more than anything, so please call me about it at .(850) 691-3976

Combs Roofing & Design is the only full service general contracting and design service in our area. This means that you only have to deal with 1 contractor instead of 3 or 4. We are also the ONLY company that gives Labor Warranties on every job we touch. We install every product per manufacturers specs, taking no shortcuts, using the best products we know that hold up to their claims. 95% of contractors do not tell consumers that if any product has not been installed by all, codes, and theirs, they will not stand behind their warranty due to incorrect installation, We offer LIFETIME LABOR WARRANTIES ON ALL NEW INSTALLS, again, the ONLY company who is confident in their experience, certifications, and training to offer consumers what they pay for. A 1 time install that you never have to worry about what you hire us for again. Peace of mind is great, and when you choose Combs Roofing and Design, you can rest knowing that you are taken care of for life. Jeremy and I are both 2nd generation builders and designers who grew up hearing all the lingo, being trained and taught that customer satisfaction is the key to being around in 20 years. Being married to your business partner is the best. We are blessed, love what we do. It's in our blood, we literally live, eat, breathe and sleep everything "HOUSE". Our Mission is to be a "New Generation" of contractors and designers. We take a much more modern approach than exists in our area. We research constantly, finding cost effective solutions to stretch your hard earned dollar as far as possible. Your home is your biggest investment, and we take our job seriously, keeping in mind that every house we work on, we worry about your return on investment. All home improvements should raise the value of your home. Our ideas are different than others, because in today's economy, and the fall in Real Estate, we want you to get back in return more than you paid. If you are considering updating, remodeling or selling your home, we know what home buyers expect, and where you need to put your $, and where to save. Sometimes, the smallest details make the biggest impact ande wow factor consumers now expect after Home and Garden and DIY network first came on the air. When we work on your home, we think "DESIGN" and making your home stand apart from others in your neighborhood. Sometimes the simple things and changes are all you need. With the tricks of the trade we have learned over the decades, changing the look opf your home is very simple. If your home does not function for you and your family, what good is it? There is no problem we cannot find a solution to. Jeremy is a sought after Sheet Metal Mechanic, doing most of the historical work in Jonesborough, Elizabethton, the Blair Mansion, and the Natio0nally Registered Arthur Kitzmiller House built in 1801 of solid Limestone. We also give advise, consults, to help you decide what is best for your home. We will inspect you home, look over contracts that you have questions or concerns about. Give advise on contractors, products, etc.

FAQs for holiday lighting add or remove projects in Blountville, TN

If climbing ladders or handling wiring isn’t in your comfort zone, hire a pro. Look for installers who post clear per-foot or hourly rates, carry insurance, and have solid reviews. Comparing at least three quotes helps you spot fair pricing without sacrificing safety. Skipping credentials to save a few dollars can cost you far more in repairs, so pick a qualified team and enjoy a safe, eye-catching display.

Yes, booking between February and September often scores lower rates because demand is light and pros have open calendars. You might even negotiate a discount package that includes removal or storage. If the budget is tight, ask whether a handyperson or an off-season permanent-light install makes sense for your home and timeline.

Determining the number of holiday lights for your house depends on your home’s size and specific decorative vision. Your project requires 10 to 20 light strands for a basic exterior display, with 100 lights allocated for eaves and an additional 10 to 20 bulbs for each awning.

For trees and substantial shrubs, allocate five to 10 strands per unit to achieve complete and balanced illumination across your property.

Tipping isn’t mandatory, but it’s a nice way to thank your installer for a job well done. Most homeowners offer 10% to 20% of the total bill or round up to an even figure if the crew exceeds expectations. A small extra goes a long way toward showing appreciation—and may help you snag priority booking next season.

Yes, you can install holiday lights yourself if your property layout is straightforward and your electrical system is secure. Homeowners who are confident in their ability to safely handle wiring and use proper equipment can save money with a DIY approach.

However, it is crucial to test all outlets thoroughly and secure the proper ladders and safety gear before starting. Careful planning and adherence to safety guidelines are essential to protect yourself and your home while achieving an attractive display.

Start by clearing the area of loose debris, damaged shingles, and anything that could trip you up. Test outdoor outlets and, if you’re unsure, bring in an electrician. Use a sturdy extension ladder (or scaffolding for very high spots) and never work alone—having a helper steady the ladder is non-negotiable. Taking these simple steps keeps you, your roof, and your new lights safe.
