Only critique is I had to negotiate from the over the phone estimate down to the actual work performed, which was less. But their customer service quickly reduced the estimate and matched the work performed. Finally it was a quick and easy payment system online using debit or credit card. On a side note they informed me that my kind of roofing shingles have been recalled and I may be able to have a prorated roof replacement. Their customer service provided me with the details to make contact."

"I’ve never written a review before, however I felt compelled to do so since I had such an extremely positive experience with my roofer, Shane Farr, with Farr Roofing. Not only did he recognize that I had weather damage and could file on my insurance, he also identified a serious hazard to my health from a recently blocked off vent which caused gas fumes to leak into the house. Once he identified the hazardous issue, he did not leave my house until it was rectified. (None of the four other roofing companies quoting my roof mentioned either issue.) Shane not only quoted me the best price and worked with the insurance company on my claim, he did an excellent roofing job and did so on schedule as planned. "True Construction is my new mowing service, after the service I had used faithfully for at least 8 or 9 years suddenly didn’t show up for a month and then just seemed to disappear. Besides the fact that the mowers are courteous and do an EXCELLENT job each annd every time, the owner has very good communication and always checks in with a greeting and a “heads up” with what’s going on. "The representative viewed the spot on the ceiling to determine the approximate location of the leak on the exterior roof. Using his ladder, he walked the roof area briefly, came down and explained that the roof was showing significant signs of wear indicating the roof was probably beyond it life-cycle (20 years). Having owned the house for the past 20 years, I knew the roof was now approximately 22 years old. He indicated water appeared to be getting under the shingles in the valley on the roof. He pointed to signs of and quot;cuppingand quot; of the shingles as signs of end-of-life of the shingles. <br /> I was quoted a price for repair of the roof. They would remove a section of the shingles and install new shingles where it was believed to be leaking. He also gave me a guesstimate on replacement of the roof on the main house (less the connecting carport that had been added within the last 10 years) with architectural shingles that have a 30 year warranty. I received a written estimate for the repairs. He pointed out that due to the age of the roof, if I chose to repair the leak area only, I could be faced with another leak and replacement. <br /> I was underwhelmed with the professionalism of the quote. He did not measure anything and pointing to areas on the roof did not reassure me of the condition of the roof. His experience likely contributed to his confidence in his quote but it did not convince me. <br /> I got a second estimate from another company who honestly stated they could repair just the apparent leak in the roof valley but they could not warranty such repairs. The competitor took pictures of the roof and was able to show me actually broken shingles and damage. The competitor's price quote was for the same 30 years shingles to replace the entire roof including the carport and was over $1,000 less. I got more for less. <br /> Sorry, Advantage did not make the sale for roofing. <br />"
