"This is the second year that Heartland Lawn LLC has been doing my yard and it has gotten better every year. I had rented out my house for six years and my yard went from OK to OMG! But that is what renters do and they don't take care of your house or your yard. They seem to make it worse. <br /> The weeds are disappearing and the grass is coming back stronger than ever. Each fall, I have the fall aeration performed and then I overseed like crazy. I like thick, full lawn of grass and it is slowly getting there. "They arrived as scheduled early in the morning. First, they called me to let me know they were on their way so I could ensure my dog was inside. Overall they appeared to have done a good job, though I noticed the cores seemed a bit short compared to what I was expecting (average core depth was around 1" to 1-1/2" instead of the 2" to 3" I was expecting). My lawn is severely compacted and bumpy and the soil was fairly dry when they aerated, so it would appear they did the best they could given the conditions. Would definitely hire them again in the fall."

"We chose forrest green for our lawn maintenance 6 step program.  We contacted Forrest Green for a quote on landscaping and maintenance.  Even though we are out of their lawn mowing radius they were willing to start service for us until we got settled and found a lawn mowing service close by.  Clynt came by and spent quite a bit of time with us walking the yard to discuss landscape changes we were interested in and even gave suggestions for cost saving areas if we were interested in sweat equity.  We are waiting until Spring to do the work (our choice) but did start the lawn program.  We have had the first treatment so far.  The tech introduced himself, explained what he would do then left a note detailing the work.   <br />  The process was easy, communication was clear and office staff was very friendly. "I had a lawn care provider that wasn't dependable. We never knew what day they were going to show up to mow, and they didn't do any edging. Paradise Lawns is like night and day, Dave and his crew does the edging so our yard looks groomed and maintained, not just mowed. "I wasn't going to write this review until my last contact. I asked Trugreen to start lawn service last summer. I agreed to a one year contract. I was surprised to find that the contract could only be canceled by a mailed letter. However, it was acceptable. I was satisfied with the fertilization of my lawn. The problem came with weed control. I did not feel they were effective in killing weeds. I pulled more weeds than were killed by their treatment. Later in,the summer they called me to indicate that they could not effectively kill weeds in my lawn because of the bare spots (my understanding of the phone conversation). They advised me that for an additional cost, they would come out and seed the spots. I found this strange as the bare spots were they when they agreed to care for the weeds. I declined the extra service and cost. The person asked how I would care for the spots. I indicated that I could toss some grass seed where needed. After that call, I decided to cancel the service when the year was out. I sent my letter of cancellation to the Lincoln office. They requested that I rate their service. I did and indicated that I wasn't satisfied. I received a call a few days later indicating that a technician was coming out that week I returned the call and indicated thar I had cancelled the service and did not want anyone coming out. The person indicated they were sending someone out because I had indicated dissatisfaction with their service. I told them I had canceled the service and did not want anyone out. He assured me that the call was canceled and that no one would call. The next day a technician was at my house asking why I was dissatisfied and to show him where work needed done. I informed him that I had cancelled the service. In fairness, others I know have had good results from TruGreen. I also have to indicate that their technicians and phone personnel were polite and courteous. I simply wish they had effectively killed the weeds in my yard. <br />"

"Mike did a good job on the tree care. He showed up when he said he would and his prices were reasonable. There was some damage to the surrounding plants but this was expected. HOWEVER the gate to the backyard was broken off and a bush planted by it this Spring was trampled beyond recovery. I left a message regarding these two things because I was upset there was no acknowledgement or apology for the damage. When Mike returned my call he was rude and insulting. He basically called me a liar, said he knew what I was trying to do and then proceeded to tell me what a mess my yard is. He assumed I was trying to get out of paying him and wouldn't let it go. He began texting me after the call ended with photos of a weed showing between the boards of the open bottom gate as "evidence" it had been in its current location for a long time. One weed…showing in the space between two vertical boards of an open bottomed gate. Really. This could have easily slid between the boards when the gate was placed against the fence. I freely admit the gate is not in great shape but it was up and functional before Mike began work. I had just gone through it the night before to put lawn waste out for pick up. If you decide to hire him, do yourself a favor and take photos of your property before he begins work."

"Our new firepit area involved raising a flagstone area, installing more flagstone to increase the diameter, border the raised flagstone with boulders. The firepit is a raised pit surrounded by keystone block. Moore's picked up the fire pit kit for us from Lumbermen's. The project was stretched out a bit due to rain. We are very pleased with the work. Blake Bench was very helpful in the planning and leading the project. <br />"
