"Long story short, hire Raindrop Roofing NW if you have a roofing job you need done right, consistent with manufacturer’s instructions. By contrast: the outfit that replaced the roof on our Dutch Colonial for the previous owners cut corners on the steep mansard slopes. As a result, the new roof which should have lasted 25 years, started failing in three. (I’ve been repairing drooping shingles ever since and have had to learn more about roofing than I ever envisioned or desired.) A few years back we hired a local company with an Angie’s List A-rating to re-shingle the problem slopes, but we had to let them go when we caught them taking the same shortcuts that caused the first roof to fail. Their excuse: the manufacturer’s instructions were excessive. (Yet these were the same instructions they had previously agreed to follow.) It’s worth noting that roofing product warranties are almost always dependent on installation consistent with manufacturer’s instructions. Nonetheless, it took several years to find another company that would agree in writing to do so at an uninflated price. Given the above experiences, we worked closely with Raindrop and watched their work with an eagle eye. They did everything we asked for and beyond! This included making extensive improvements to the roof’s ventilation, especially in the steep mansard regions. Further, the Taylor Metal standing-seam system they applied to the garage and patio looks and functions great. Their final price was consistent with their estimate, and right where it should have been given the size of our house and the materials requested. (Unlike many of their competitors, Raindrop doesn’t gouge the homeowner for requesting standing-seam metal in addition to composite roofing.) Bottom line: next time you’re walking down a street in Portland, look for the abundant tell-tale signs of roof repairs – visible patches of replacement shingles. It’s perhaps not surprising that in this sustained building boom, quality installation at a fair price is hard to come by. I'm happy to report Raindrop is the welcome exception."

"Redbird roofing was the only company that actually sent a roofer to figure out my leak problem. Taylor listened, wasn’t pushy, got up on the roof and took his time trying to see where the leak was coming from, he was kind and considerate, and didn’t push me to replace my entire roof. Amber who runs their office was just as considerate. I will definitely get an estimate from them first when I replace my whole roof. Too bad other companies don’t combine kindness with integrity."

"Quick to initially make content and once hired were quite prompt in arriving at the job site. Personable and went right to work. I appreciated that as I do not live in Oregon; my sister occupies the house. It was nice to get something scheduled and completed in a short time. The 2 workers did a nice job of cleaning up afterwards. I would make one suggestion for the crew. It would be helpful for me at least to get an overview of what the project will look like once it gets done. It was a moss removal from my story and a half home. The majority of the work was accomplished using a moss killing spray which is going to take 2-3 months to eradicate moss from the roof. I expected more to have been scraped prior to the addition of the moss spray. A minor miscommunication for which I have at least half of the issue on me. That being said the moss is continuing its decline so the actual end result will be accomplished. Thanks guys."

"Complete roof job and gutters completed to our house back in 2013 but I did not have access to a Complement/Recommend this contractor tool. I know it was a few years ago but they did a terrific job on a very steep, multi-vaulted roof and we have had no problem, still works and looks terrific. What also impressed me was their clean-up job on the property after the job was done. It was cleaner than when they started!!! Work done to your home is important, you will not be disappointed with Alwin as your Contractor partner. Plus they actually answer their phone!!! Rich ~ Tigard"

"They didn't use safety gear while on roof, but did an excellent job"

"C & C Roofing guaranteed us no leaks and even promised to come back out if the leak continued anytime within the next few months after their repairs. We are pretty much through the rough weather season and that was not necessary as everything seems to have been taken care of properly on the first visit."

"Giron roofing gave me a fair price estimate for the work needed. They explained everything in detail, and answered all of my questions. They started the job on time and worked consistently until they were finished. They cleaned up well and were finished with the job in 5 days, (taking off old roof, replacing plywood sheets and putting on new roof and gutters). Considering the month that we had the roof replaced was an extremely wet month, Giron roofing did everything they could to minimize any moisture issues inside of our home. We would use them again and recommend them to anyone looking for a new roof!"

"I received around 10 quotes for my roof. As a former carpenter I knew what I was looking for. I was happy with the quote but more impressed with the install team. Those guys worked hard and I am confident they did the work right. All I needed. Installing a roof isn't rocket science. You just have to follow certain principles which these guys did."

"After a winter storm blew the top off of our attic fan we called several roof contractors to see if we could get it patched up to prevent water leaking in. Gibson was the only company that called us back. Josh Gibson came by and, free of charge, looked over the roof for other damage, and used a plastic sack and duct tape to do a temporary patch until we could get the whole roof re-shingled. We had another contractor in mind to re-do the roof; one that we had used in the past for our rentals. But Josh really wanted our business. He's only 19, but don't be concerned about his youth, he grew up on roofs and has more experience than people ten years his senior. We had Josh give us an estimate, and got an estimate from our other contractor. Gibson's bid was $4k lower, so it was an easy decision, especially since Josh was so easy to work with and so enthusiastic. The work is finished now and we're very satisfied. Gibson Roofing kept their promises, showed up when they said they would, did the work quickly and effectively, finished on time, and cleaned up the site. We would strongly recommend Josh Gibson, and Gibson Roofing for any roofing jobs you might have."

"All Roofing Eagle did a fantastic job on removing our old shingles and installing a new roof. I have never seen anything like it. In one day a large crew showed up, removed all of the old shingles, checked for plywood damage, and installed a nice new shiny roof. Plus they cleaned up our property and gutters of debris. Very professional and great communication. Amazingly enough they had the lowest bid too. Talk about taking the stress out of a large project. I would strongly recommend them to anyone needing to replace an old roof. These guys are work horses."
