"I paid Mr. Appliance approximately 425.00 to fix my dishwasher. After 4 trips to my house, and time off from work, the final result was that the dishwasher could not be repaired. They refunded me 135.00 of the fee, and I am left with a non working dishwasher. Unacceptable. I do NOT recommend their service."

"We needed to connect our patio to our deck stairs and lower concrete patio. We also had a steep slope we needed a stair-type solution to. Jake came out and went over the details with us. We decided to replace the current square concrete block patio under the pergola with a round paver patio that connected everything. Jake also recommended a large natural stone block stair to deal with the slope. After getting the estimate we were pleased and went ahead and paid the half up-front to get it on the books. They were able to start only a couple months later and spent a good week working on the project. The old patio was torn down and the blocks carefully stacked. Yard damage was minimized and a very nice patio and path was built. The initial stairs connecting to the concrete patio wasn't exactly what we wanted, and Jake had it rebuilt with no complaints and no additional cost. We are extremely pleased with how everything turned-out, and would definitely recommend them."

The plan was clearly designed and easy to follow- full of plants that could handle a tricky site. "Purchased a cord of “seasoned” wood through Facebook in Feb 2025. Unfortunately it wasn’t seasoned, and doesn’t burn unless the fireplace or flue is open. It just smolders and turns black. Sap runs out and in a few places it carmelized on my fireplace. I reached out through Facebook immediately and never heard back from him. I sent him pictures to show how wet the wood was, and got no response. When I got to the center of the pile this week, there were huge dead bugs all over inside the wood, and those pieces appeared to be rotten. I know it was peak cold season and wood was in high demand, but I still expected to get what was advertised- seasoned firewood not wet firewood and firewood filled with bugs."

Then when I called to discuss the situation, they get defensive and argumentative. So thanks for helping me save money and support a national chain instead of local businesses. "Customer service was consistently disappointing. The latest example involved fall fertilization of three trees. I had agreed to a contract that specified a fall fertilization and winter topical treatment of a hickory tree. The contract also included treating 2 ash trees to prevent ash borer infestation every 3 years. A year ago I paid for the fall fertilization and last winter the hickory treatment. Yesterday (10/10/2024), a man arrived and did another fall fertilization. I had not been notified this work was going to be done or I would have cancelled it due to my decision to terminate services with the Arbor Doctor. When I confronted the man performing the service yesterday, he called his office and told me I would be contacted by someone to explain why he was there. A woman called me and said the contract was for once a year treatment of fall fertilization and winter treatment of the hickory. I said that was not at all clear to me, but I hadn't yet examined the contract. I said I did not want any more services provided by the Arbor Doctor. She said I was responsible for that day's fertilization. After the call, I examined the contract I'd approved and nowhere did it say the treatments would be every year unless I cancelled them in advance. The contract did state the ash borer treatment would be every 3 years. (Another reason I decided to "fire" the Arbor Doctor was the exorbitant fee for the ash treatments: $1275 (which I paid) vs. $725 from a recent bid by Madison Tree Care)."
