"THE IMPORTANT PART: We decided to go with Dan and Beautiful Bloom because of his composure, expertise, and professionalism. From our initial meeting through our final walk through, communication was excellent. Dan felt like a friend through the process and not some hired contractor. He allowed us to express all the desires we wanted and they followed through. The foreman (I believe, Greg) was also very thorough; everyday when I arrived home, he would explain exactly what work was done and what was next. He took ownership of the yard through the process and we were impressed with that. The extra step that was not requested but shows their attention to service - they installed all the necessary wiring for landscape lighting in the future. They informed me how to install if I wanted or to come back to them if we wanted to enlist them to continue the work. They did not have to go the extra mile but they did at every turn. It was worth extending our budget to get the lawn we wanted. <br /> We saw a sign for Beautiful Blooms in a neighboring yard and were impressed with the overall job they did, especially the landscape lighting. One of our major home improvement goals was to update the very mature and dated landscape that was part of our home. We began the research process to find a few names here on Angie's list and was happy to see the overall reviews of Beautiful Blooms especially since we had seen the finished product. After meeting with a few companies, we decided to go with Dan based on his overall scope of work he was able to offer. Dan's plan also included a few flower bed designs to bring the landscape features away from the main sections we intended to replace. <br /> Our home had a lot of mature azaleas and some worn out shrub beds. Dan and his crew were able to remove ALL of the existing beds and created new beds with a new layout in the yard.  One of the items that stood out was they integrated an irrigation update to the plan to make sure the new plants would stay healthy and keeping the existing irrigation separated for the lawn. They irrigation update included a channel that went into a planter box that is attached to our home. <br /> We intended to wait add a concrete patio paver as our initial budget was for only replacing the landscape. When we met with Dan, he asked what we would like to do and when he put together the plan, we began to seriously consider moving forward, even though it was slightly above our intended budget for both projects. Dan showed us work he had performed and after a walk through the home and patio show, we were convinced to move forward. The demolition work included the removal of two concrete sidewalks and the installation of a patio with walk way. The other sidewalk was covered with grass (at our request) and they were able to change the shrub plan to create a natural shrub fence. Dan gave us options of what to consider with the paver selection and once we were able to make a decision, they moved to get the order submitted. <br /> During the middle of the installation, we asked about fencing, as this would be the final stage of our landscape update. Dan was able to give us an estimate, talked with us regarding the installation process and offered to stain the fence. "They are good. We've been satisfied with their work. The workers are prompt and courteous and they don't disturb my wife since she works from home. They go and they do their job and they make sure the gates are latched and not left open so the dog doesn't run away and all those important little things. It's not like the spray it all over the house or on the side walk, they out it down where it needs to go down and it looks good."
