"This was the third company I got an estimate from, yet the only company that took small jobs. I can't remember the name of the man who did the estimate, but he was the only person who could tell me about the aphids on a tree, and how to deal with them. It's pretty obvious the owners care about their employees. They seem to cultivate their workers entrepreneurial spirit, even if it means moving on to start their own business. Wow. <br /> I was very impressed by the team who showed up, literally smiling and waving. I was thinking one or two people in grubby work outfits. No, this was five guys in  work uniforms. I had a certain level of expectations based on the previous reviews, but this company exceeding those expectations. The workers were very polite, did the work very quickly, and cleaned up my backyard very nicely. The work was better than I expected it to be. <br />"

"They are not the least expensive service in the area (as we have learned from talking to our neighbors - some of whom pay much less), but they do good work. I have employed many gardeners over the last decade. Most of them started off looking great and losing interest over time, resulting in them slacking off and getting fired. Anyone who knows me has learned that I routinely fire my gardeners after 3-5 years because that's when they all start slacking off. (I also did this in a previous life as an officer of a Homeowners Association.) <br /> Colette and Todd really care about maintaining the quality and integrity of their family business. "We had a very tall Monterey pine tucked in the far back corner of our yard. They estimated two and one half days. It was about 30 inches in diameter at the base and maybe 100 ft. tall. With a crew of two they they assembled their necessary rope hoists, and cut off branches 10 ft at a time, carefully lowering the pieces to the ground where the other second guy sawed and piled them. At the end of the job, they used a bob-cat to remove the large logs to their truck. The less longer branches were dragged out and chipped. Afterwards they cleaned up all the chipped and smothed the surfaces when they left. Good as new except for the stump which they left (we decided it was not worth the effort and cost to try to get a stump chipper back to that location. This pine would have wrecked our house if it toppled in a strom (which pine tree often do), Cost was 2 - 3 thousand dollars. <br /> Other times they have done just a quick cleaning of dead oak branches high in the trees. 10 - 15 trees, half day, $350."
