34 employees. Free estimates provided. May contact through email or call office at 239-337-0000. We do have a licensed contractor available for irrigation and pest control to allow us to provide our customers with the full overall service necessary.

"Horrible lawn service and customer service. I have been trying to get someone from Newell to my property for over 6 months to address an issue which is clearly covered in our contract. The landscapers also when spraying for weeds spray weed killer on all areas of the grass, also walking through it tracking in the yard and killing grass everywhere. in stead of edging as they should they sprayed a 7 inch area of week killer along all my landscaping. Looks horrible. Stay away!!"

We designed this with EMS in mind so they can find your house at night. It works for all environments and weather conditions and looks great! It is all powder coated and made from cast and extruded aluminum, with a magnetic door. It is a very High quality product for a very affordable price.

Hydrotech Pools, Inc. - Specialized and innovative approach to swimming pools Pools - Spas - Decks - Renovations - Consulting - Repairs All in house crews - Financing Available

"Could not possibly be more pleased. Irma’s ‘removal’ of our pool cage served as the impetus for a complete re-do of the deck and pool. Pricing on the travertine pavers, done in a French pattern, was competitive, and beat estimates from 2 well known local companies (in one case by a country mile). The work on the spa involved the removal of the deco glass block wall, and rebuilding the wall with concrete/rebar. Work started pretty much right on schedule. They had a well thought out game plan, and there was minimal down time (most of that weather related). The stone suppliers mistakenly delivered 4” wide coping instead of the 24” wide bullnose coping we’d ordered. The mistake was corrected in 48 hours. I have to give kudos at this point to our project super, who was on top of everything as work progressed. The super, Rob Rogers, monitored things closely, and was in phone or text contact with me daily. He did a superb job. After the deck work was finished, the pool resurfacing job got underway. There must have been 12-15 men here that day (with threats of rain almost throughout the day); during the one or two occasions it began to lightly rain, plastic tarps were immediately deployed to cover the just poured pebble tec surface, with large fans activated to keep the pool bottom dry and the tarps raised. Everything looks tremendous, and I’ve gotten nothing but compliments from neighbors and friends. I plan to share some before and after photos, but not just yet; hopefully, these can be added to my review afterwards. The orange contractor’s fence that still surrounds the deck’s perimeter has seen better days, and its presence in the background will sorely detract from any photos taken right now. As soon as Hydrotech’s subcontractor gets the cage put up, I will prepare an update to this review, and provide some before and after photos which will speak for themselves. OK, I suppose that qualifies as a ‘nudge,’ and a request that the cage contractor begin it’s work sooner rather than later. I just don’t want stains (from leaves which drop to the bottom daily) to end up ruining our beautiful new pool. I highly recommend Hydrotech, and, once again, commend the work done by Rob Rogers in pulling everything together with such efficiency. (Note: the cost provided, below, includes the price of the pool cage/enclosure)"

FAQs for holiday lighting add or remove projects in Captiva, FL

If climbing ladders or handling wiring isn’t in your comfort zone, hire a pro. Look for installers who post clear per-foot or hourly rates, carry insurance, and have solid reviews. Comparing at least three quotes helps you spot fair pricing without sacrificing safety. Skipping credentials to save a few dollars can cost you far more in repairs, so pick a qualified team and enjoy a safe, eye-catching display.

Yes, booking between February and September often scores lower rates because demand is light and pros have open calendars. You might even negotiate a discount package that includes removal or storage. If the budget is tight, ask whether a handyperson or an off-season permanent-light install makes sense for your home and timeline.

Determining the number of holiday lights for your house depends on your home’s size and specific decorative vision. Your project requires 10 to 20 light strands for a basic exterior display, with 100 lights allocated for eaves and an additional 10 to 20 bulbs for each awning.

For trees and substantial shrubs, allocate five to 10 strands per unit to achieve complete and balanced illumination across your property.

Tipping isn’t mandatory, but it’s a nice way to thank your installer for a job well done. Most homeowners offer 10% to 20% of the total bill or round up to an even figure if the crew exceeds expectations. A small extra goes a long way toward showing appreciation—and may help you snag priority booking next season.

Yes, you can install holiday lights yourself if your property layout is straightforward and your electrical system is secure. Homeowners who are confident in their ability to safely handle wiring and use proper equipment can save money with a DIY approach.

However, it is crucial to test all outlets thoroughly and secure the proper ladders and safety gear before starting. Careful planning and adherence to safety guidelines are essential to protect yourself and your home while achieving an attractive display.

Start by clearing the area of loose debris, damaged shingles, and anything that could trip you up. Test outdoor outlets and, if you’re unsure, bring in an electrician. Use a sturdy extension ladder (or scaffolding for very high spots) and never work alone—having a helper steady the ladder is non-negotiable. Taking these simple steps keeps you, your roof, and your new lights safe.
