"I asked for a quote from this group and sent pictures of my very overgrown yard. I am a college student and am home for the summer so I have not been here in two months and the yard was very long (this is my rental home for school). They gave me a quote for $86.75 based on the length and that the yard would grow more in two weeks. I accepted and on the 27th after they began mowing my yard I got a call from their office that the pictures they just saw of my yard sent by their workers look nothing like the yard I sent in on the 17th, and that the service was now going to be $120. I re-sent the picture I originally had sent and asked how it wasn’t considered overgrown from the start because the weeds were obviously multiple feet high. They said the current state is obviously different, and that if I wouldn’t have paid the extra $30 they would’ve stopped their service. The picture I attached to this review was the picture I sent into them, and apparently that was not considered overgrown until they got here. Very frustrating situation."

"installation estimate was supposed to be 2-3 hours, they worked for 3 hours 15 minutes. The installation estimate was (labor rate)x(2-3 hours) + parts. The estimate did not disclose if 2 technicians are sent instead of 1 without my knowledge, I essentially had to pay the labor of 2 technicians. what was supposed to cost (labor) X 2-3 hours turned to (labor) x 5 hours. I was charged an additional 2 hours labor. I can't speak of quality of work or technician professionalism, I was not at home nor can I judge their work, it is outside my expertise."

"We hired 3 A’s to build a stone wall around our flowerbed. They were so great to work with and did a fantastic job. Ariana was extremely professional and responsive, and she provided several quotes based on our specifications. We ended up doing a two layered stone wall. The stone wall came out beautifully and really boosts our curb appeal. The crew chose quality limestone that matched our house and took great care of our existing plants. They even raised the flowerbed, which I was pleasantly surprised to see! They clearly had a vision for what the product should look like, and I’m glad I trusted the experts. I also appreciated that they added leftover mulch to our trees and did a thorough clean-up. These guys really care about their customers. We sought out several quotes for this project, and 3 A’s was the most reasonably priced for such quality work. We couldn’t be happier with how the stone wall turned out. Thank you so much, 3 A’s!"

FAQs for lawn care aeration projects in Cedar Park, TX

Aeration is the best way to keep your lawn healthy and vibrant. Annual aeration makes your lawn more breathable and helps nutrients reach the roots, improving water absorption and reducing puddles where pests might breed. However, timing matters. It's best to avoid aerating during droughts, extreme heat, or if your lawn is battling weeds. A local pro can help you determine the ideal time for your yard.

Most lawns benefit from annual aeration to keep them healthy and thriving. If your lawn has a lot of thatch buildup—more than half an inch—you might need to aerate twice a year for a couple of years to get it under control. But if your soil isn't compacted and there's minimal thatch, you might be able to skip a year.

When you hire a professional lawn care company, a standard 10,000-square-foot lawn takes about 30 minutes to aerate. Uneven, sloped, or especially large lawns can take significantly more time. So, depending on your lawn's size and condition, the process can take anywhere from half an hour to several hours.

The best time to aerate your lawn is during the spring or fall when your grass is actively growing and the soil has enough moisture. Aerating once in the spring and once in the fall yields the best results. Avoid aerating when your lawn is dormant or right after heavy rain when the soil is too wet—that can make aeration less effective.

Even if your lawn looks healthy, aeration can still be beneficial. If you have good growth, proper drainage, and little thatch, you might not need to aerate right away. Regular aeration helps water and nutrients reach the roots, keeping your lawn strong over time. Keep an eye on your lawn's condition to decide when it might need aeration.
