"I couldn’t be more pleased with their work. They power washed my house, fence and roof better than I’ve ever had done in the past. Their phone number is now in my personal phone book. I also hired them to do some painting in near future. Reasonable price for great job. Thank you!"

"Cousins Painting did an excellent job painting our large historical home (approximately a month long project). They were a pleasure to work with, did wonderful job communicating issues with the project along the way, scheduling, listened to our concerns and were flexible along the way. We had young children living in our home and they were incredibly responsible with concerns to lead paint and keeping the job site safe and tidy. We worked with Henry and his team and he was on site 97% of the time and his entire team was consistent and hardworking - arriving early and working until sunset and often on the weekends. They have a high standard and want to make sure the job is done correctly and that we were always happy. They were pricey, but they definitely earned every dollar. We would happily welcome into our home again for projects and confidently recommend their work to others. My children were sad to see them go when the project ended!"

"Junior and his team are extremely conscientious, talented, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. They prepped ( including sanding and hole/surface repair) our entire 4500 SF home cedar- board exterior and restained it by hand. They replaced many rotted or damaged boards and filled all holes and gaps before doing any primer or staining/painting. It looks beautiful and a year later there are no areas that are showing problems or sloppy work. Amazing job at any price, let alone for the reasonable price Junior charged. He even did two outbuildings for only a small additional fee relative to the size of the extra work, one being a large pole barn. I recommend Junior very highly!"

Painters usually price a job by the square feet of the project. Sometimes they’ll include flat fees for fixed expenses, like overhead and permits.

Interior painting makes for a doable DIY project. You can save some money and get a real sense of accomplishment by doing this yourself. And, with the right prep work – covering, taping and scraping – it’s fairly forgiving. But it takes a lot of time to move furniture, tape trim, prep the surface and cover your floor, let alone apply the actual paint. Instead, save yourself the time and hassle and find a local interior painter.
Leave exterior painting to the pros. Not only do you need to worry about the type and quality of the paint, you’ll also likely need a ladder and considerably more prep work. You’ll likely need additional equipment like ladders, scaffolding and possibly a paint sprayer. It’s almost cheaper to just hire a pro. Talk to a local exterior house painter about your project.
