"Our yard was in somewhat bad shape due to several years of neglect (I grew up in the city and am not well-versed in lawncare; despite all our efforts the yard was dying due to a combination of factors). Someone from Champion showed up at our door for a free estimate with hours of my leaving a message on their machine. I thought the quote I was given for lawn fertilization throughout the year was extremely reasonable. In fact, it is about 50% cheaper (approximately $78 per application for a yard that is about 1/2 acre) than what I would have paid to do the work myself (not to mention the time I would have to put in as well). You pay as the work is done. We have had two fertilizations so far and our yard looks so much better than it did two months ago. I am so pleased with the service provided by Champion so far!"

"It went well.  Jim is thorough and professional and gave me a good write up summary and sketch in email.  I still have hanging vines of ivy and old shoots that need to be cleared, but that is not part of his service.  it should be noted that you need to follow up and stay on the poison ivy or it will get spread by birds and such within a year.  Jim was also kind enough to cut some other types of climbers like Virginia creepers while he was out there.  I would recommend Jim's services. <br /> Eradicate poison ivy around the yard and to the property lines on the sides and the stream in the back including ivy growing up at least 1 trees per the attached rough sketch. Ground and bush ivy was treated with a dilute solution of glyphosate with surfactants and water. Ivy growing in trees beyond reasonable reach of the spray was treated by cutting the vines and treating with concentrated glyphosate.1st Treatment on 6/3/20142nd Treatment on 7/8/2014 - Good results from first treatment. Had missed smaller vines on two trees and a vine on another. Slightly more I than I would have expected but all were very visible with the reduced foliage to scan. <br />"

"It was great. <br /> We were hit by the October snow storm that made us loose power for 5+ days, powerlines down, trees down, half down, etc. I needed a good number of trees to remove and I began looking for a and quot;tree-guyand quot; to come over anf give me an estimate. Half never even showed up, of the half that did they were quoting crazy prices and couldn't give me a date to do the work , or....never called me back. Well, I always thought Northern Tree was sexpensive, I see their trucks all over, they have all the big trucks and tools, so I never bothered to call them Then I got frustrated. <br /> I called Northern Tree, the guy came out for an estimate (on time), I did the walk-through, he asked me questions, he explained how they bring equipment that does notdig up the yard. He explained that they would bring a crane to remove 3 trres over a fence...I thought, this is going to be expensive. <br /> He got in his car, had a tablet, printed out the quote and brought it right back. He was almost the lowest and I knew exactly what I was going to get. He said 2 weeks. Done. <br /> To the day, their equipment was at my house, naturally they called in advance, theydid the work, NO grass damage because they put down these specially made mats down. They were polite, professional, went right to work. <br /> I was so impressed when they left, after the project was done (on-time). I should have called them for all of my previous tree work instead of the slugs I did hire who dug up my yard to make it easier on them. <br /> Northern Tree is like having the Army Corp of Engineers come over and do work at a reasonable price. <br /> Don' hesitate to call these guys from Palmer up and give you a quote. You won't be disappointed. <br />"

"Mr. Gingras responded to my service request promptly and spent some time on the phone with me determining what I wanted done. He then came out to give the estimate, again very promptly and on time. Again spent quite a bit of time going around the yard discussing what I wanted to do, what he thought would work better, developing a plan and timetable, all the while taking into account my limited budget. I was so impressed by his knowledge and recommendations, and very reasonable cost, that I hired him on the spot, something I never do. I've always required 3 estimates but felt very comfortable with my decision. Dan and his crew came out a couple days later and did my clean out/clean up. What a great job! I haven't seen my yard looking this good in years. I was very impressed and thrilled. After dealing with other tradespeople (Handymen and electricians) for the past few weeks and getting stood up, blown off and ignored, what a remarkable difference! He has since called to see how I liked the job they did and also if I wanted to fertilize my lawn. He will also be my weekly lawn mowing servicer so I hope things will continue to go this well."

"I pay about $150 for lawn work and about $190 to cut the grass and clear the leaves. He is very professional and pretty reasonably priced. He comes out every other Thursday when the grass is growing. He runs deals like fertilizers and stuff like that. He is a good man. He has also done work for my mother-in-law, and has done a fine job over there. I became disabled and I'm in a wheelchair now. I have used another landscaper who is cheaper, but he doesn't do as good a job as Glaessner Landscaping."
