"They have done amazing things to my weedy lawn in a very short period of time. I was very sad to find it in such sad shape when the snow melted. But 2 months later, I am extremely pleased with their service and would recommend them to anyone looking for quality lawn care in Springfield, IL. "

"I have been using Cuttin It Close for my lawn care for 2 summers now. They are prompt and responsive. When they sprayed fertilizer on my lawn they made sure to let me know so that I could keep my dog off of it until it dried. I requested that they take care of the ditch behind my fence (that looks like it should be done by the city) and they took care of it the next time they came out. Overall, I am very happy with the service."

"Tru Lawn performed all services according to the contract. We own two properties (duplex). I did not use their service in 2011 for our rental property because they insisted our rental property was twice the size it really was because they (at first) refused to go by any measurement than the aerial survey of our property. They refused to comprehend that we had changed the footprint of the rental property when we built our custom duplex (one side being a small MIL home). Because of Weed Lawns insistence of using the "map" instead of a tape measure, I choose not to use their services for what amounted to a postage stamp size yard. <br /> They did an average, although pricey, job the first year (weeds were never eradicated and barely controlled, even though I watered and mowed as told. <br /> The second year (2012) I did get them to come down on the price for the rental property (it wasn't like they had to drive, or even move, their van); however, it was still very expensive. But worth it for me, had they done the job as promised. <br /> Neither year were they able to eliminate or even control the weeds very well. I called them back out to spray several times to no avail. Last summer they managed to spray a broad leaf weed control on my newly established peony row. Of course they denied any implication on my part even though the damage was extremely coincidental to the time they sprayed and the obviously ensuing plight of the peonies. <br /> Last month Tru Lawn broke the last straw, by sending me an unsolicited notice stating I was automatically renewed as a "valued" customer. I was never called, nor did I ever sign an agreement for automatic renewal of their services. Because of the auto renewal they have lost my business. <br />"

"We get a deal where we do it five times a year in the summer to the early fall. They do a pretty good job. The pricing is pretty good. It's $230 for six months, for five or six treatments."

"I had Spring Green for a while. Although they're cheaper than True Green, they weren't helping enough with weeds and each time there was a different person doing my lawn so there was no consistency or accountability. They spent a few seconds on my back lawn to do spot-weeding but would charge me for a weed and feed(!) My neighbors use True Green, but they are similar to Spring Green; huge outfit with lots of ads and will treat your lawn like they do everyone else's. Also, when I talked to True Green, they did a hard sales pitch and never came out to see my lawn. I finally called Barr and I've never been happier. Jeff met with me and after walking around my property, talked with me in depth about what was going on and what they could do for me. And later, the person they sent out is the same each time and he is also extremely knowledgable. after doing a "real" fertilizing with a spreader and spot-weeding, he suggested I mow higher (and not so close to the ground) and that I do one side of my front lawn *last* since I had dollar spot there 1 1/2 years ago... and be sure to wash the wheels of my mower so I didn't spread it. Of course, no other lawn service had told me that because these big franchises just don't care. Places like Spring Green and True Green need to get in and out and do a lot of lawns to make money and they never customize anything to your specific property. In my case, that means if I had brown spots, I still had brown spots a year later. It's frustrating because unless you're a horticulturist, you don't know why stuff is happening with your lawn--but Barr Landscaping does and they'll customize a treatment plan to your lawn. Price wise, Barr is right in there with Spring Green's price for regular treatments and their price for aeration is close to True Green's. If you have a choice, get it done right. Go for Barr's. Totally wort it."

"Fantastic. Lawn is 100 times better. There were weeds and they came out several times to treat. Very glad I use them."
