"Ace was fairly quick to come out for the estimate. Prices were reasonable. Josh told me up front that it would take approximately four weeks to come out, which was fine. They came out the first time as scheduled, however they only trimmed 50% of the trees on the estimate. I waited two weeks and called back when no one contacted me or showed back up. This lead to ~4 more weeks of back and forth through at least five phone calls to finally receive confirmation that the crew would come out to finish, as apparently that day they had been pulled away for another job. In the interim Mike came out to grind the stumps. Was very nice and noted that the company was experiencing growing pains which lead to the delay. When the crew finally came out, they crashed their truck through into the side of the house knocking the garage door a few inches into the garage and damaging the brick and garage door frame. This lead to two visits by their contractor aka Josh's best friend to fix the damage. So, finally after nearly four months from the original estimate and multiple days of having to work from home to accommodate repairs, my trees are trimmed and my garage door is somewhat back to normal. Josh refused to offer any discount off of the estimate despite my headaches, so although the crew was friendly and seemed to do a good job on the trees, the liability and hassle will force me to look elsewhere moving forward, as tree trimmers are a dime a dozen in Birmingham. I'd suggest others do the same."

"Overall it was decent work but kind of pricey for what I received. The grass has done reasonably well and it's a year out. (I watered it religiously.) I thought that the rest of the work was done in a perfunctory manner. We had agreed to clear a section of my yard for a garden. The initial price included application of soil if needed. They didn't apply the soil and when I went to plant a month later found a foot of clay and had to apply it myself. I didn't check behind them - I am real busy and just took their word for it. The ground looked OK from a superficial perspective. I suppose that I could have called them (even a month out) and complained and insisted that they take care of this. I bet they would have. But I didn't want the hassle, so I dealt with it myself. I just hate when I have to check behind people. It makes me feel like they are trying to get away with doing shoddy work. In this case they got away with it, but I wouldn't hire them again, or if I did, I would be prepared to supervise and complain and I just don't want to deal with that. Having said that, I feel that they are somewhat better than average when it comes to small jobs (and I have no experience with bigger jobs)."

"We've used Classic Gardens for around 10 years now at least.  They apply the granule fertilizer, which is great for slow release when watered in.  They also have an insect treatment plan that you can get on that treats 3x/year for grubs, army worms, etc.  The guys that come out always leave a hand-written assessment of grass length, moisture, weed issues, etc. and write up what they did that day.  I've been pleased with their service.  Wish they offered a lawn mowing service too and I'd be in! <br />"

"Called on December 10th, termite tech was at my house the same day to evaluate and inspect my home. Bought the contract for treatment(even though no termites found). Tech came back the next day to treat my home. Took him about 1 1/2 hours as he advised before he started his treatment. He also advised of the drilling he would be doing prior to starting. Very satisfied with the level of expertise the tech had. <br /> Also on the same day I called Vulcan, the pest control portion of the company visitied my home and treated it the same day. In my opinion this is excellent customer service. Same day service, you can not beat that anywhere. I will highly recommend this company to everyone... <br />"

"I called and talked to a very nice lady who answered the phone. I discussed my frustrations with my last lawn crew and she listened intently. I insisted in meeting the crew in person at my house to discuss expectations, etc and they accommodated my request. My yard has never looked better as they do an excellent job in coming within a day or two of the agreed day every 2 weeks and clean up after themselves. I am pleased with them so far."
