"Gene came to our home and looked over the work performed by a previous installer. He was not critical in his attitude but could easily understand that the stain was not what we ordered and the entire area had to be re-sanded and stain applied. He saw that we were really needing to get our house back in order since things were stacked all over and hard to get around. He said he could take care of us in about 3 days. He came, did a superb job in sanding and staining and we were back living in our home. The a week so so later my wife suggested we have the rest of the house installed with hardwoods. I agreed since we were so pleased with what Gene did we could easily image if our entire home had hardwoods except for the bedrooms. We hired Gene to come back and install the hardwoods after paying a couple of muscle movers to put all furniture and boxes in the garage. In two hours our home was ready for Gene to do his work. All went well except when the new installation came up against the previous installation. One could tell the two apart instead of seeing one continuous color of stain. Gene said it was because wood has different porous ability and grain. He set about the task of working on the area where they came together and after two laborious attempts and a number of hours was ready to re-sand the entire installation if he couldn't get the right results. He tried one more time and it all came together so you could not tell there were two installations. We couldn't believe he was willing to re-sand the entire work he had just finished but that is the kind of vendor he is. He stuck at it until if was right and anyone hiring him to do work in their home will find that same dedication to making sure his installation is satisfactory. Can't write enough about this gentleman and the way he displayed himself regarding the problem and the way he was willing to redo any entire installation if what he was doing didn't work out. He is the right man for the job!!"

"Last year we had extensive water damage to our house due to a water leak from the back of the fridge. We are first time home owners and mostly had no idea of the troubles ahead. We contacted Oregon Restoration based on their reviews and they came in and handled all the stuff smoothly. They were the only folks who were willing to work directly with the insurance (most other restoration folks wanted to contract with us and have us work with the insurance). They explained the 2 phases (remediation and restoration), They dealt with the insurance admirablly and made sure that we got our house back into the shape it was. It took us over 7 months and in that time, they were very polite, exceedingly professional and very in tune with our concerns. The main person in charge of our situation (Kirk) was very helpful and always easy to contact. He would appraise us of the house situation daily and make sure that we knew what was upcoming. Any changes we needed or wanted were handled quickly. All in all, they were humane and exceedingly great at their job. I would recommend them and their work to anybody I know."

"Charles and team are amazing! This is the second time we've worked with him, and he didn't disappoint. We needed to do a major renovation of our kitchen to accommodate family members with disabilities. We had fairly specific design requirements, which involved raising the ceiling, adding structural support to one wall to create an archway, and adding another wall to allow for more cabinet space. After signing the contract with Charles, we realized we also needed to have our entire plumbing infrastructure replaced because of rusty pipes. We scheduled the plumbing work to happen before the kitchen project began so it wouldn't be an issue with the new appliances. The plumbing work left us with holes in the drywall in several rooms, plus a bathroom that needed to be gutted and rebuilt. Charles was amenable to adding the bathroom remodel to the kitchen contract--and we were amazed at how he was able to fit all of the additional bathroom work into the original kitchen schedule. Work finished on the exact date he'd targeted. He was also very accommodating of us in several other instances where we basically grew the scope of the project as it progressed. We are thrilled with the results and are planning to have him do a couple of smaller projects once we get our kitchen unpacked. Charles has two major strengths as a contractor that have made us want to hire him multiple times. The first is that he is an excellent craftsman. He is able to think through complicated designs and then execute them impeccably. The second is that he stays on top of every detail of the project and runs it like clockwork. Once work starts, he doesn't stop until it's done. His subs clearly value working with him; they show up exactly when they are supposed to and keep at it in order to finish in time for the next phase of work. Even when Charles isn't on-site while subs are working, he knows the exact status of their progress and keeps things moving until everything is finished. Charles is often booked out several months, but he is worth the wait!"
