California Exterminating has very good reviews, and was one the companies we called for an estimate. They were the first to come out (within a day). Mike, who did the inspection, was very knowledgeable and walked all over the roof and identified the places where the rats were coming in, and pointed out the location of those places. He inspected one of the attics as well. He gave us a lot of information about rat infestations, such as things that make our property vulnerable and what we can do to minimize the chances of them getting back in after the extermination is complete, such as trimming back trees close to the building. Mike explained very clearly about what they would do to treat the problem (close off with metal screen the entry points on the roof where rats were coming in, place traps in all 6 attics, then come back within 7 days to collect the traps. No poison. ). The guarantee is for 6 months and we need to call them when/if we hear any further rat noise in the attics and they will come back. The reason our guarantee is not longer than 6 months, is because of the one-piece garage doors we have; they are not secure from rats and so that is why we can't have a longer guarantee. Their price was in same ballpark as other estimates, but we chose them because of their promptness and how knowledgeable and thorough Mike was when he did the inspection. We are very happy with this company."

"Fortunately I made my decision to use Landscape Locators' services. Andrew did great work and help! Be careful with dealing directly with the landscape contractors.  <br /> With Andrew's service I closed contract with contractor who's name is Rich on Jan. and Rich finished my backyard in three weeks. But the project was rejected by HOA because Rich attached electric box to the wall when I applied for refund of my deposit in May. It took me over one month to communicate with Rich for correcting the mistake and nothing happened. I was so disappointed and contacted with Andrew. Only one day after Andrew sent email to Rich the problem has been solved by Rich's man. Thanks God I have Andrew's services. Otherwise I can only do it by myself or sue Rich for the lost of the deposit. That will be also big trouble for me. "We had landscaped our backyard 2 1/2 years ago.  Gophers have slowly (and not so slowly in the last few weeks) been tearing up our lawn and flower beds.  We have tried high frequency sound mechanisms, bombs, and poison---- without results (would only slow them down for a few weeks).   A representative from Gingrich came last Fridayt  surveyed the area, and set 6 traps.  John, the owner came this morning (Monday) and pulled up the traps----- and there they were --- two big, well fed gophers!!!  We know this isn't the end of our problem forever but we are so pleased to have stopped the damage for now.  (Gophers work singularly and in territories, so feel we are fine for the time being).  I would recommend Gingrich to anyone who wants results.  They are prompt, professional, and knowledgeable.  They are a little pricey.  But as they say "You get what you pay for"!! <br />"

"We had a very tall Monterey pine tucked in the far back corner of our yard. They estimated two and one half days. It was about 30 inches in diameter at the base and maybe 100 ft. tall. With a crew of two they they assembled their necessary rope hoists, and cut off branches 10 ft at a time, carefully lowering the pieces to the ground where the other second guy sawed and piled them. At the end of the job, they used a bob-cat to remove the large logs to their truck. The less longer branches were dragged out and chipped. Afterwards they cleaned up all the chipped and smothed the surfaces when they left. Good as new except for the stump which they left (we decided it was not worth the effort and cost to try to get a stump chipper back to that location. This pine would have wrecked our house if it toppled in a strom (which pine tree often do), Cost was 2 - 3 thousand dollars. <br /> Other times they have done just a quick cleaning of dead oak branches high in the trees. 10 - 15 trees, half day, $350."
