"We contacted Pierce L. Shallis Landscaping after doing some research and reading online reviews. We needed landscape remediation as water was building up in the front side of our house (during heavy rain) and wanted a new flower bed as well. I contacted them and they got back to me right away. Pierce came out to take a look and after talking to him, I was confident he had the expertise to do the work. To no surprise, he and his crew did a fantastic job. I defaulted to his opinion about what plants would look great in the flower bed. My only request was a small Japanese maple. The communication was great from start to finish. I would highly recommend this company to anyone as they are both knowledgeable and professional. When hiring Pierce L. Shallis, you will have peace of mind that they will get the job done right."

"Not well. IDS Architect LLC completed Addition Blueprints for a 2 bedroom suite and a handicap shower bath. The blueprint was to have contained architectural floor plans, electrical and plumbing drawings and elevations (Engineering Plan) The cost for this work (floor plans and Engineering plan (electrical & plumbing drawings) was $2,000. Upon receipt of the Blueprint, which consisted of just a sketch, I asked for a more detailed CONSTRUCTION PLAN. The plan that I got was a narrative list of what would be done according to engineering plan, but there were no engineering drawings. I was really concerned about the lack of real construction detail. In addition to $2,000 for the blueprint, IDS was paid $1,600 for permits. A major concern: CONTRACTOR INSURANCE. IDS ONLY CARRIED WORKMEN COMPENSATION as stated in the contract, which I did not sign, and expected the homeowner to” carry other necessary insurance.” IDS did not provide proof of General Contractor Liability Insurance."

As a licensed landscape architect, we approached this project with high standards and were looking for a contractor who offered fair, transparent pricing, excellent craftsmanship, and timely execution. The project spanned nearly five months, during which a few scope changes arose. Each one was handled professionally and flexibly by John and his team. "Wally came out and took measurements, and prepared an estimate for us. The price was fair, so we agreed to the contract. There was a minor scheduling hiccup, but it was made right. Wally's crew was professional and efficient. The work was well done, and I couldn't be happier. I would gladly contact Wally & his team for future projects. Highly professional, good prices, great work!!!"

"They truly live by the code of "you get what you paid for". The price was cheaper than expected (and they included a free estimate too). So ultimately, our slow bathtub drain was cleared. However, the technician had terrible housekeeping. After stripping the caulking around the overflow valve, they left the caulking pieces in the bathtub and told us to flush them down the drain (?!). They said the provided bio solution would clear the pieces just fine...but why do that when a trash can is less than a foot away?? Then, they did not offer to reseal the valve they just opened...just left a mess for us to pick up. As such, we will not be using them again next time...free estimate or not. If we wanted the bare minimum, we would have done it ourselves."
